programmable keyboard extension #1
hi guys

i already searched google for this, but i haven't found it. maybe you have an idea:

i am thinking about a keyboard extension, like the extra numeric keywords, which can be attached to laptops, but with totally configurable keys. My intension is, to have these buttons as shortcuts for applications, key combinations and also scripts/macros (to define a path for things to happen, which i'm using quite often and need several clicks for it).

does anyone know about
1. such a keyboard extension, just with additional configurable keys
2. a piece of software to program these keys
?

many thanks for your ideas...

Re: programmable keyboard extension #3
Usually, on gaming keyboards, those programmable keys are called macro keys. If I would have had to search for something like this, I guess I would have started somewhere in the gaming corner.

Btw, this kind of stuff looks actually kind of interesting: PiEngineering
