[Modding] Corsair Hydro H50 #1
This H50 was purchased a few months ago overused and dirty

H50:

Fitting 6/8mm
Tubing 6/8mm
Res [EKWB 100 X2 BASIC]
Cutter
ZipTie
Phillips screwdriver
Time and patience



Some temps from OCN.net

Let's start!


First you need to remove the plastic cap that covers the WB, unscrew two screws located under the plastic, exactly these:

My RES is damaged, so I have used some teflon tape.

The WB is very ugly and dirty, used and abused..so I have decided to lap its!


I have started with 500, 800 and then 1000.

Perfomance? CPU is 10C colder!

Very nice I didn't know that there were actually some people modding all-in-one watercoolers! And it's really amazing how much more efficient the cooling now it. But ... did you change the fan?

Yes, it is a common thing..I have seen also H100 modded Crazy!

Well fan...oh yes, I have changed because I have put my finger inside


I have used a bit on dimas with 2x UltraKaze 120 38mm, then with a couple Arctic AC120 PWM

Before and after then mod I have used always the same fans...H100 or H80 fans, are the same I think, I had both

Holy cow ... yeah in this case the results are very impressive! 9°C less is definitely quite an achievement!
