And ... ah ... yes ... if I open up the Xonar Essence One by more than one third ... 90 dB ... there you go ... damn having 110 dB her atm

Damn ... just noticed, that the the "Eigenfrequenz" of the room my sound gear is in, is somewhere in the range of 110 Hz. I turned down the volume at that frequency and the overall sound is much better.
