Project "Alva" by watercooled #1
As for the beginning of 2016 this will be the first build of this year, as I was invited to take a part in Define S modding contest by fractal design and EK Water Blocks presented by ocaholic.ch To give some honor to Mr. Edison I decided to name it Project "Alva".

First works has begun. For this theme the ASUS X99-A mainboard will suit optimal. I am going with only one graphics card EVGA GTX970 SC ACX 2.0 using EK-FC970 GTX ACX – Nickel Full cover GPU block and EK-FC970 GTX ACX Backplate.

I really like the clear nickel "almost mirror polished" backplate. I am considering to use black/white color theme only and use pastel blue coolant.

The Intel 750 Series 1.2TB NVMe PCIe SSD is watercooled of course, because why not? Right?

Finally the RAM, this awesome looking KLevv CRAS DDR4 2133MHz 15-15-15 @ 1.2Vmodules will fit this build perfectly.

Some new modding parts have been finished today. I hope you will like the final results.

For CPU cooling I was considering two options which came in my mind. The EK-Supremacy EVO X99 – Full Nickel or EK-FB ASUS X99 Monoblock – Nickel, as both would suit this build very good. At the end I decided to go with Monoblock.

Some more progress has been done on this build last weekend. I finally was able to plan the tubing. Although, I had to change top tubing little bit to get nice bendings.

Also for pump I had two options to choose from, first one was the EK-XTOP Revo D5 PWM – Plexi (incl. pump) and the second one was with Acetal top. Because the coolant will be blue pastel, it is better looking with Plexi top. After couple busy weeks, I finally get my hands back on this project again. It was a long weekend. Custom sleeved cables can take you half a day. You have to work precisely without rush. But the final results is worth it, hopefully you like it as well.

Razer Blackwidow Chroma #4

Razer Blackwidow Chroma is awesome gaming keyboard offering very fast response and perfect backlighting customization. Longer durability than other mechanical keyboards on the market this days. It's very stable and the matte surface giving you warm feeling on touch. USB-Passthrough makes things easier and it's great idea to connect headphones or USB devices just over your keyboard. The overall quality is top level and it's also one of the reason for its quite high price of approx. €170. Although, for typing or work you may find it harder to write without doing mistakes because of its higher actuation point. But overall we love this keyboard and we are going to use it for our long gaming sessions.
