Mounting

Prolimatech ships their Samuel 17 with mounting kits that are compatible to the most common Intel and AMD sockets. Installing the cooler is quite easy. It is always a good sign when don't need to check the manual. This means that the mounting process is self explanatory. Also the pressure on the CPU is ok, if we consider that there is no backplate.

On these pictures you can clearly see that the Samuel 17 is only compatible with low profile memory modules. Should you own DIMM which have bigger heatspreaders than it's very likely that they will collide with the cooler. Once installed this cooler leaves a very good impression. Another thing we liked, was the possibility to route the fans power cable between the screw that tightens the fan to the cooler and the frame of the fan.
