 No real world application benchmarks
It sure would be nice to put in some real world uses while you had them:

Compressing files

Large excel spreadsheet

Adobe after affects

Some of us have large machines that get pushed to the max and have never played a PC game in their life!

The idea behind this article was to show the performance difference in games. If you're looking for other benchmark results, you find them here:

You don`t use no render applications like Cinebench to determine CPU productivity... pointless review : : :

This is a pointless comment of yours. Already in the title I mention Gaming Performance!

 mmmm
Why you don't downclock 2600k and 3960X to 3ghz ?

you should deactivate, (in my opinion) Turbo, to compare other CPU

 Re: mmmm
This is planned for another article. Here I wanted to show the difference when one uses the CPU with all settings standard.

Go to HWbot and check out the results there. You'll see that there really are people buying server CPUs for absolute high-end systems. There also are companies like EVGA and meanwhile also ASUS which have dual socket boards in their portfolio which only do their job with Xeon CPUs. So yeah, there are very few people who actually buy a Xeon for this purpose but since there are products which do support Xeon CPUs, no matter if one or two, it is interesting to see how it performs.

If you recall the LGA1366 area, people were buying Xeon instead of desktop because it was sometimes cheaper or performing better.

Furthermore, both evga and Asus released Xeon based boards for gamers/enthusiats.

 hello
What I would like to see is the 8 cores tested with HT turned OFF. that is 8 threads VS the 6 cores and 4 cores cpu.
