Looking at the CM690 from the top you see the perforated metal plate and the fan beneath it as well as the connectors to attach a 3.5'' hard drive comfortably. The chromed decoration bars are discrete and give the CM690 its special looks. | Looking for external connectors you get two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports as well as front audio connectors. A special feature is standard SATA connector to attach an internal 3.5'' hard drive right on top of the case. Under certain circumstances this might be very useful. |
To provide the CM690 with an adequate ventilation, Cooler Master equipped it with a 140 Millimeter fan which unfortunately produces a well audible noise originating from its bearings. With the CM690 you have the possibility to use 120 Millimeter fans or 140 Milleter ones. If you have a lot of 120 Millimeter fans from an older case you can easly put them into the 690. |

If you look at the CM690 from this perspective first of all the two big rubber coated feet might attract you. Furthermore there also are numerous hexagonal ventilation holes where the ones in the back are equipped with a filter mat. This prevents dust from coming into the case. |
