Handling

General

Connecting and installing the mouse will work without any problems. Due to its shape it fits very well to the hand and even working in office, it can convince with full control. The software delivered does not need to be installed but because of the many features and programming possiblities we recommend to install it. With the software there are four different color schemes available, which can be deactivated if not needed. Even the switching between the profiles is working without any problems. For each profile the profile switching button has another color. The only problem here, it is not visible which of the four profiles is activated. Unless you start the software which shows the choosed profile. Here we would wish an small display on the mouse, which would show the active profile, like the one Coolermaster has used on the Storm Sentinel. The "Advanced Storm macro Pro" button enables a fast and easy usage of macros and scripts. Additionally the Inferno is equiped with a "Rapid Fire Tactical" Button and this is ideal when a lot of firepower is needed. Both buttons are close to the other mousebuttons and are very easely to reach. The "Storm Tactics Multiplier"  button enables up to 32 programmable macros and scripts.

Ergonomics

The Inferno is a gaming mouse especially designed for MMO games but can also be used for every other computer game available. The eleven buttons, from which nine can be reprogrammed, give you all you need just one click away. You might need some time to get used to keep the quite big and heavy mouse in your hand. Altogether the mouse is very well manufactured which you for example see it surface. Even when playing with sweaty hands, you wont loose grip. Furthermore the thumb buttons are placed very well and even for users with short thumbs, the buttons can be reached without problems. The buttons for DPI switching and the profile button are positioned in the back of the scrollwheel and can be used without moving the hand from its position.

Gliding characteristics

The big gliding pads provide the Sentinel with very homogeneous gliding characteristics. Therefore it doesn't matter if you do quick or slow movements, the Inferno always does what you expect it to do. Furthermore it is a heavyweight and the mousepad should have a very smooth surface, otherwise you just wear off the glidepads. This reflects our opinion and depends on the user, which sufrace fits best. Tested on a cloth mousepad the gliding characteristics where quite clumsy, maybe some smaller glidepads would work better then.

Precision / Speed

The Mouse offers a lift-off distance of 2mm, 1000Hz polling 1ms reaction time and a high speed of 115cm per second.
