To remove the top lid one has to untighten a total of six screws and to remove hard drive cage as well as power supply one again needs to remove eight screws! In times of thumbscrews and "click-mechanisms" this really is prehistorical. After you've released 14 screws you're finally able to install your motherboard. Furthermore there are anti vibration rubbers at the hard drive cage. Fortunately they are not fixed by the use of screws.

If you should not need the deivered power supply because you have a Mini-ITX board that has an external power supply, you'll be forced to remove it. Afterwards there is a big hole through which dust particles easily come into the case. We would have appreciated it if Fractal Design added a bezel for this reason. Fractical Design equipped the case with a compact 300 Watt power supply. At this point you could ask the question if you really need a 300 Watt PSU for a small NAS cube with up to six hard drives. Considering that power supplies work the most efficient under 50 percent load a value of 150 Watts results. Recent Mini-ITX motherboards based on Intels Atom CPU paired up with six hard drives will draw 100 Watts peak. Because of this reason it would have been more efficient if Fractal Design provided the Array with a 200 Watt PSU.
