Gaming PC

As we already mentioned on page 4, the MSI Gaming 27-6QE uses a quad-core i7-6700 with base frequency of 3.40 GHz and a turbo clock of 4.00 GHz. The CPU is paired with 16GB of DDR4 memory and a GTX 980M 8GB GPU. The GTX 980M is a high-end video card and available on the market since October 2014. Based on the Maxwell architecture the GM204 chip offers performance similar to a GTX 780. Thanks to these components many recent titles can be played smoothly with the maximum resolution (1920x1080) at high details. However, very demanding games such as Crysis 3 or Project Cars will require you to lower the resolutions and/or details if you want keep frame rates above 60fps.
To complete the test suite we also ran 3DMark FireStrike, in normal and extreme mode. The graphics scores were 8'652 and 4'483 point, which is, as we already pointed out, on the same level as the GTX 780. Overall we believe that this mobile GPU is perfect for this model with fullHD resolution since you will be able to play at maximum details in almost all games.
We measured the temperatures while playing games and running benchmarks, in both scenario the temperature on the mobile GPU was lower than 80°C. Since the product is quite compact and slim it's predictable that the noise is not on the same good level as the temperatures. In fact the fan profiles are quite aggressive and the system can become very noisy.
