Left Side part 1

Overview

Features

Integrated into the left side panel you find a 220 millimeter fan which can be activated by a dip switch. A special goodie are the LED's which illuminate the comfortably silent fan. To exchange PCI cards, IN WIN has added snap closing clips. The part, where the clip-mechanism gets contact to the card, is equipped with rubber pads to reduce noise and keep it safe and tight in place. Unfortunately dual-slot cards can only be tightened with one clip.

The cage where the hard drives are mounted seems very practical at a first glance but if you take a closer look you'll see that there are issues. When you install the drives before you've installed the motherboard there is no problem but if you would like to exchange or add a hard drive when the motherboard is already in palce you wont be able to take the cage out anymore unless you remove the motherboard. The 220 mm fan is very silent and can be exchanged by two 120 mm fans if you should prefer that solution.
