Software / Driver

Roccat promises a driverless mouse which should be easy to use. Everything is engineered that you don't need any software. To change the built in LED's colour for example you have to press a specific button combination. Of course you'll have to look the different combinations up in the manual otherwise you'd have to guess them.
Alltogether the Kova comes with seven buttons. Therefore you get the standard ones such as left- and right button as well as the mous wheel button and furthermore you'll find four more buttons two on each side.

Using the four side buttons you can for example switch colour or make the mouse "breathe" - that's what Roccat calls this function. You can also adjust the DPI in different steps from 400 to 800 to 1600 to 3200.
Very practical is the fact that as soon as you plug it into the USB port you can choose wether you are left- or right-handed.
