Software - Webinterface

The web interface looks very modern and sleek and it can be operated easily. You can find your way around intuitively and one always has a nice overview of the features and services offered by the TS-459 Pro. The web interface works fine in all tested browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer . The system features an extensive user administration. Various protocols for storage networking can be easily activated by pressing a button, including iSCSI, which - as an example - could be an important factor in small and medium-sized businesses.

Since the Ts-459 comes with very numerous settings, there's a small search engine, which works perfectly and quickly leads to the desired configuration tab. The QNAP NAS generally makes a solid impression regarding this point. Everything works as advertised and if there is something to complain about, then it's the lack of support for "hybrid RAIDs" and the lack of IPv6 support.
