With the help of the Quick Installation Guides, we're guided trough the setup process in three easy steps. With the desired RAID configuration, the number of installed hard disk is automatically detected. Setting the RAID level, formatting the disks and the configuration of all network interfaces can be done completely without the use of an additional computer with the LCD panel and the buttons on the front of the TS-459 Pro.

After creating a RAID 5, we went over to the initial configuration of the TS-459 Pro. After installing the included software "QFinder" from the supplied CD-ROM, we had access to the numerous configuration switches and all integrated services of the TS-459 Pro. There's also a "Quick Setup" for those in a hurry. The following menu guides the operator in six steps through the basic configuration options so we can start working with the new NAS.
