Conclusion

The Thecus N4310 is a powerful and versatile Network Attached Storage device that really surprised us, especially when we take its price into consideration. Hardwarewise, the N4310 offers a good configuration and since it is a four-bay NAS, it is even interesting for small and medium-size businesses and not just home usage. Furthermore, the N4310 is capable of reaching good performance. While it lacks some special options, we were still pleasantly suprised by the design of the web interface as well as the OS, since it has a modern look but is also very easy to use, especially for an average user. The Thecus N4310 is fully compatible with mobile apps and it also features iSCSI support on the storage option front. The SoC CPU inside the Thecus has a clock speed of 1GHz and performs adequately, while 1GB of memory should be enough as it was not a bottleneck.

If you are looking for an efficient and a compact NAS device, with enough power for small and medium business, we can highly recommend the Thecus N4310, emphasizing the simplicity and easy usage of this unit.
The Thecus N4310 is available on Geizhals for about 244 Euro.
