Released last year by BitFenix, the Shinobi becoming an instant hit in the chassis market, and winning multiple awards in the process. Remakes are typically not as good as the originals, hence there was a sense of foreboding when BitFenix released the larger version of its mid-tower case; the Shinobi XL. Instead of a new design, the engineers at BitFenix boldly decided to expand on their most popular product yet. If the Shinobi review is anything to go by, then the XL has much of its work cut out..

If the elements of the ARC Mini or ARC Midi made a great impression, but didn't offer enough room, Fractal Design offers the cure with the ARC XL.

A découvrir maintenant.

Today we are going to look at a budget-friendly case for those users who are looking to build a reasonably compact system with limited funds. Evo Labs is a budget-focused brand from UK based distributor Target Components, which aims to deliver customers more bang-for-buck than better known brands such as Thermaltake and Antec.

Today I will be taking a look at the latest entry to the Thermaltake chassis range, they're all new Urban S31. There are two main models for this chassis, one without a side panel and one with, but I'm lucky enough today to have hold of the edition with the side panel window.
Priced at around £90 for the windowed edition, or £85 for the non windowed its safe to say that this chassis isn't cheap, as you approach the £100 mark your entering some extremely competitive territory, where anyone spending that kind of money is looking to build a mid to high-end performance rig. For this kind of money you want support for modern features and components, good style and design, great build quality and usually something extra that makes the chassis stand out from the crowd, something that isn't so much a gimmick, but something that adds true value to the product.
Thermaltake have a fantastic reputation in the PC market, not only from their award-winning chassis designs, but also for some of the best power supplies and CPU coolers and with many years of knowledge under their belt I'm confident that they can make a great product.

When I think of the Fortress naming from SilverStone, I first think full tower and the design implementations that both previous FT0x versions had. The FT01 was ahead of its day and offered wire management, great air flow, tool-free features, and a very sexy to look at exterior. The second reincarnation of the Fortress was the FT02, which took the FT01 and the Raven and mixed them up to make a pretty awesome case with a ninety degree motherboard tray alignment, while keeping most of the original ideas. Externally the FT02 was far superior to the sleek lines of the FT01 with its redesigned all aluminum exterior.

Up for review today I have another PC case from MSI, this one is part of their Interceptor series and it’s called the Ravager. Yes it’s a different name for a case but it’s a unique looking case. The Ravager is meant to be a gaming case and it has claw marks on it that give it a very unique and rather interesting look that is just a perfect fit for a case destined to have a gaming system it. The Ravager isn’t just all about looks though as it’s mostly tool-less making installation quick and easy, the only thing you’ll need a tool for actually is installing the motherboard. Anyway, read on to learn more about an exceptional case from MSI….
