Der Begriff High-End ist in aller Munde und wird leider bisweilen auch gerne mal überstrapaziert. Im Hause SilverStone will man nun statt leerer Worthülsen Taten sprechen lassen. Ob das gelingt und was das auf die Bezeichnung TJ11 getaufte Luxusgehäuse am Ende des Tages wirklich zu bieten hat, wird unser ausführlicher Test klären.
Wirklich gute Micro-ATX-Gehäuse sind selten, will man dann noch potente Hardware nutzen, schrumpft das ohnehin kleine Angebot noch weiter. Mit dem TJ08B-E gibt es jetzt eine neue Alternative aus dem Hause SilverStone. Mit Miniabmessungen und Maxibelüftung scheint der Mini-Tower geradezu prädestiniert für leistungsstarke Komponenten und den Gang zu nächsten LAN-Party.
The TJ08 Evolution is an update of the original TJ08 chassis from SilverStone’s Temjin series. With the ability to house 13.25" long expansion cards and a 165mm high CPU cooler along with four 3.5" and one 2.5" internal bays, two 5.25" and one 3.5" external bays, two USB 3.0 ports, a positive pressure cooling design with a 180mm fan, the fully-painted aluminum/steel chassis can accommodate most systems. It is perhaps fairly routine sounding until examining the dimensions. At 15.16" x 8.27" x 14.72", the TJ08-E has a lot to offer for such a compact size.
SilverStone hat 2006 mit dem Temjin TJ08 einen Klassiker auf den Markt gebracht - einen bezahlbaren Mini-Tower mit dezenter, aber edler Optik und seinerzeit beachtlicher Kühlleistung. In der Zwischenzeit sind einige Jahre ins Land gegangen und das Gehäusesegment hat so manchen Wandel durchlebt. Mit einer Neuauflage des TJ08 möchte SilverStone dem jetzt Rechnung tragen. Das TJ08 Evolution (TJ08-E) soll dabei das zeitlose Design des Temjin TJ08 mit einer zeitgemäßen Ausstattung kombinieren und somit einen Evolutionssprung realisieren.
In SilverStone's own description, they bring to light that the original chassis concept was introduced in 2004 for this specific Temjin chassis. The original TJ04 looks like a relic at this stage in chassis design as well and is a great candidate to take everything out of the box that made is so past tense in today's market and introduce it as something much better equipped to battle with the massive amount of competition in the mid-tower segment. So, SilverStone did just that - they took one of the better selling cases of it's given era and redesigned just about everything, but left enough of the original design to remind you of the original design.
On the outside there is plenty new going on, the face plate has been redesigned, but is where the new Temjin keeps the design elements of the original. There is a windowed version of this chassis and we will be seeing that version today. On the opposing panel there is a dual fan filter for a new way of introducing air into the Temjin. Speaking of filters, the top of the chassis also has a dual fan filter that is removable. Even the back of the case gets a bit of the redesign to offer things wanted in today's chassis. On the inside there is too much that has changed to go over it at this point, you will need to keep reading if you want to see just what the new evolution of the TJ04 offers there.
Le SilverStone Temjin TJ11 est un boitier qui a du user pas mal de touches, tant nous en parlons depuis longtemps. Petit à petit, le boitier a délivré tous ses secrets, jusqu'à son tarif, qui a fait l'effet d'une douche froide. D'abord supposé à 700€, nous l'avons finalement trouvé à 600€ au Japon, puis en France au même tarif. De quoi affoler tout le monde, et diviser les foules.
For those who had the pleasure of seeing or using some of the earlier Temjin Series chassis, I envy you. I have always wanted to acquire a Temjin chassis before I was writing reviews, but at that time even, they were cost preventive in me getting one. My personal favorite was the TJ07, and at a very close second were the squarer TJ09 and TJ10 models. One thing all of these cases share is that they were ahead of their time in case tech and very pleasing to the eyes. The biggest thing about the TJ07 I liked was the compartmentalized interior to break up the heat sources and offer their own ways of cooling each major compartment.
Cooling is a major feature of the TJ08-E and instead of relying on two fans you get the power of a single 180mm air penetrator fan to direct air where it needs to be. This design also promotes a positive air pressure situation that will vent the chassis faster than simply using more fans.
For those looking at a flexible Micro-ATX or Mini-ITX case one of the chassis SilverStone offer is the Temjin TJ08-E. This compact tower is designed to offer maximum flexibility with some cutting edge features and today we have one on our test bench to review.
