Das Arc Midi R2 Gehäuse von Fractal Design wurde laut Hersteller für high-perfomance Systeme entwickelt. Deshalb wurde das Gehäuse so gestalltet, dass der Luftstrom Dank der drei 140er Silent Lüfter optimal durchströmen kann. Optional läßt sich eine Wasserkühlung im Inneren des Cases einbauen.
Im heutigen Test möchte ich ein weiteres Gehäuse des schwedischen Herstellers Fractal Design vorstellen. Das Core 3000 ist bereits schon eine weile Verfügbar, aber nun wurde es auf USB 3.0 Umgerüstet. Was das Core 3000 noch so alles zu bieten hat und wie sich der Einbau der Hardware gestaltet möchte ich in diesem Test euch zeigen.
Roughly 5 years ago if someone had asked about my opinion regarding the future of PCs I’d never have imagined that 5 years later everything would start to miniaturize for the sake of progress. It's true that up until this day that i type these lines high-end, enthusiast and enterprise-grade systems are not limited in size in any way but from the somewhat recent announcement by Intel stating that they too will focus all their resources in shrinking everything i don't think that time will take long to come and whether or not that "evolution" will turn out to be a good thing only time can tell. However people who wish to have a small PC that can fit even under their TV set need not wait for that time since mini-ITX and micro-ATX mainboards are already half the size of normal ATX ones (and even smaller compared to XL-ATX/EATX) without really lacking much in terms of performance. The only real issue so far has been the limited number of micro-ATX/mini-ITX cases available that can actually take full advantage of what high-end mainboard models have to offer but Cooltek with their latest Coolcube MAXI aims to change that.
The Evolution chassis from Cougar carries a commendable design concept. Installing all the components into the chassis left us with plenty of room to move around internally, and the removable and tool less drive trays make installing any type of drive rather simple.
The Rosewill FBM-01 is a basic case that can house a micro-ATX motherboard. The FBM-01’s body is crafted from SECC steel and measures 6.89” x 13.86” x 13.78”. A pair of 5.25” external drives as well as a 3.5” external drive can be installed while an additional pair of 3.5” drives can be installed internally. Since it can house a micro-ATX form factor, the FBM-01 has four expansion slots for discrete graphics cards or other devices. Users have an option between a black or white color with glossy front face finish. For cooling purposes, a 120mm intake fan is pre-installed in the front while an 80mm exhaust fan is attached at the rear.
The Enermax Coenus is an ideal platform for building a contemporary gaming machine on a budget. The Coenus can accommodate tall enthusiast-class air coolers and even has an adaptable HDD cage, allowing for some room when installing long graphics cards such as the GeForce GTX 690 or AMD Radeon HD 7990. There are also plenty of cooling options inside with room for two 120mm fans for the front intake, two 120mm fans or one 180mm fan at the top, one 120mm fan in the rear and one 120mm fan at the bottom floor. The Enermax Coenus “Advanced” comes with two pre-installed fans (one intake and one exhaust) and has better drive mounting support compared to the “Basic” Coenus which only comes with a single 120mm exhaust fan. Dust filters are included at the bottom and for the front intake of the Coenus to make maintenance easier.
As I am sure you are all well aware, the Thermaltake Chaser A71 is not the first chassis in the Chaser Series. Its direct predecessor, the A41, was a mid-tower addition to the Chaser Series that boasted some of the same features that are prevalent in the A71, such as great cooling, tool-less drive bays, and great cable management. And, it is not the first full-tower design in the Chaser Series. That distinction goes to the Chaser MK-1, which shares the same dimensions and has very similar features to the A71, including a top-mounted HDD hot-swap bay. Now, let’s move forward and take a closer look at the Thermaltake Chaser A71.
Oggi abbiamo il piacere di presentarvi la quarta evoluzione della serie Raven, in casa Silverstone: il modello Raven 04 in versione finestrata (BW), con telaio in acciaio e verniciatura interamente nera. Das Urban S71 stellt Thermaltakes aktuelle Speerspitze in der noch jungen Urban-Series dar und soll mit einem zurückhaltenden, simplen Design eine große Käuferschaft ansprechen. Selbstverständlich verpasst der Gehäuse-Hersteller seinem Spitzenmodell einige Austattungsmerkmale, die dem Nutzer den täglichen Umgang erleichtern sollen. Unter anderem zählen dazu der Hot-Swap-Dock, ausreichend USB-Ports an der Front, gut erreichbare Staubfilter und eine Lüftersteuerung. Allerdings sind Features bekanntlich nicht Alles: Im Test des Urban S71 haben wir zudem auf die Verarbeitung und Performance geachtet und mit der durchaus potenten Konkurrenz im Testfeld verglichen. Ob uns das Case aus der Urban-Series von Thermaltake überzeugen kann und wo Berechtigung zur Kritik liegt, erfahrt ihr auf den folgenden Seiten.
