The BitFenix Ghost is a mid-range chassis, designed with gamers in mind. Bitfenix claim that not all gamers are willing to deal with excessive fan noise so they have attempted to design a chassis with minimal noise characteristics.

BitFenix brings forward the Ghost, a chassis that glows from the bottom as it sits in silence, and at a good price as well.

A few days ago while i was out with a some colleagues one of them pointed out to me that we haven't really focused in PC case reviews, at least not as much as we should have based on the how many get released per year. Well i have to admit that i was left quite puzzled since in just 11 months of online presence we've reviewed a grand total of 16 PC cases which at least for me is not a very small number especially since it's not our only focus group. Still just in case some of our readers feel the same we have put in several requests for some of the latest PC Cases to hit the market and hopefully we will deliver most of those reviews by the end of March (and just in time for our 1 year birthday). So today on the table we have the latest Ghost Midi Tower PC Case by BitFenix.

Today I'll be taking a look at the Ghost, the latest chassis design from BitFenix, BitFenix have had a healthy spike in popularity recently following the launch of their M-ITX juggernaut the Prodigy, given that the Prodigy was packed with innovations and style throughout, it will be interesting to see what they have come up with in terms of design for this Full-Tower chassis.

You may think that all cases below the USD 50 mark have serious quality problems (such as sharp edges where you might cut your fingers while building your PC) and don't come with features most users will need. However, after seeing the Bitfenix Merc Alpha, which costs only USD 40, you may change your opinion. Let's see why.
Cases
BitFenix have taken the market by storm over the previous 18 months and after a somewhat rocky launch period, we have seen their quality control and construction materials consistently improve. Today we look at their Merc Alpha Chassis, which is set to offer high value for money with strong cooling capabilities.

If you have ever gone looking for a used car, typically, you don't go around looking for the cheapest car possible. However, if you are strapped for cash and need something quick and dirty, any car is usually better than no car. Of course, when I mention all these things, I mean absolutely no disrespect to the BitFenix Merc Alpha we have here at APH Networks for our review today. Sure, it isn't your high-end enthusiast chassis, nor is it your mainstream case. In fact, it is what many would classify as a hardcore value case. When I first read the name "Merc Alpha", I really just want to call it the cheapest Mercedes-Benz in existence (You know, with the name "Merc" and everything). It is hard not to think of it that way, as the Merc Alpha is going for only $39 at press time. Of course, an assumption would be that you are being offered nothing more than the absolute minimal number of features. On the other hand, assumptions could be wrong, and many would try to debate that fact -- this case could be completely different than what you have been expecting. BitFenix does create a wide array of different types of chassis, so I hope they do know what features are the most important even on a lower priced model. The real question here is whether this chassis is truly a Mercedes-Benz under the covers, or is really just a Hyundai cheap car in disguise? Read on to find out more about this super saver deal!

As far as being "no frills" and full of experiences, that holds true to the chassis as well. Don't let the no frills label I use scare you. Even in human form, you need to check waistbands and boots to be sure that you don't run into any surprises. The chassis we are about to look at also appears to be simple to give you that feeling of comfort as it sits on the table and stalks the competition, but behind its back, or under the door panels, there is plenty in store to aid you in an epic kill/death ratio, collecting dog tags, or in the quest for a golden gun!
