Today for review I’ve got another product from our friends at NZXT, this time it’s the M59 Mid-Tower Gaming Chassis. The M59 is a sleek looking case, I honestly really like the look and style of it, so much so that it has become the home for my gaming PC hooked up to my 47” HDTV. It’s small in size so it won’t stick out, but yet there’s plenty of room for hard drives and large sized video cards inside. NZXT has included a 2.5” to 3.5” hard drive adapter for those, like myself, that use SSDs for their computers. The M59 is nicely designed and fairly well made, but it’s not without it’s faults, it’s a budget case yes, so some faults are to be expected, but for a budget case it’s worth it despite the problems.. So read on to learn more…

NZXT has just released another inexpensive mid-tower case, Gamma, which is based on the same internal body as M59 and Lexa S and priced at only USD 50, being cheaper than these other two cases. Is it a good case? Let's see.

And now, everyone and their mother are wearing black. It’s a fashion trend now. I still wear it all the time, and rarely wear anything else, but not because half the people on television claim to be dark and mysterious. I simply still don’t give a crap and have a horrible attitude most of the time. But I have a feeling that NZXT targets me sometimes when it comes to their gaming cases. They go flat black (what we called “murdered out”) and they make them look absolutely awesome. Take the case I’m reviewing today for example, the Gamma steel mid tower. It’s sleek, roomy, and has space for six 120mm fans. I tell you, it’s awesome, it’s black, and it doesn’t care what you think.

Wood is much easier to work with than steel. With a few simple tools, you can create a very solid PC case, and if you use high quality wood then it can look very sophisticated when stained. But many people aren’t interested in modding today, and you can buy just about everything pre-modded… with the exception of the wood case.
nMedia has identified this niche and delivered a Home Theater PC made almost entirely out of wood, and has a classic look similar to many “retro” radio or audio consoles you see on QVC. Not only does this case have a classic look, but it is large enough to handle most PC hardware, and has all the connections and ports you need for a good home theater appliance.

After releasing some interesting small form factor cases for home theater PCs (HTPCs) under their Sugo series, SilverStone is releasing a "big" HTPC case under their Grandia series, called GD04. Featuring an aluminum front panel and available in black or silver, let's see if this case is a good buy for users willing to build a media center.

A silent case may seem like a "sales gimmick" to some people, after all how can a case make noise? While it is true that the case itself isn't loud it can help transmit sound. After all it is the fans and other components that actually generate the noise. But the direct noise is only half of the battle, many of the sounds you hear coming from your case can be traced back to all of the moving parts and their affect on the case itself.
