Seit 2010 bietet BitFenix nun schon Gehäuse an. Eines der ersten Modelle war das Colossus, das bereits in unserem Test überzeugen konnte. Sukzessive wurde das Portfolio im Folgenden ausgebaut und mit dem Prodigy stößt der Hersteller in das mITX-Segment vor. Wer unsere Tests in der Vergangenheit aufmerksam verfolgt hat, wird bei diesem Gehäuse Parallelen zum Cubitek Mini-Tank erkennen können. Aber eines sei schon an dieser Stelle gesagt: BitFenix hat sich Gedanken darum gemacht, wie das Konzept verbessert werden kann, und wie das Ganze aussieht, haben wir uns angesehen.
Thermaltake are certainly a well known brand within the enthusiast industry, as such any of their products are expected to be of good quality, and reasonable value. This Thermaltake case is aimed at the budget market, and as such may lack in luxury features, however as it holds the Thermaltake name, it should be of good build quality. Full tower cases are usually needed by end users that needs tons of storage capacity. Or by watercooling fanatics that need adequate space to house all of their huge radiators. Dabei hat sich die Firma, mit Hauptsitz in Schweden, eine Preisklasse ausgesucht welche derzeit vor Angeboten überläuft. Für knapp 86 Euro geht derzeit das Define R2 über die Ladentheke und präsentiert sich, anders als derzeit eher üblich, extrem schlicht und einfach in der Optik. Nicht mit besonderem Design glänzt das Gehäuse sondern gerade mit dem Fehlen jeglicher Spielereien

Thanks to the modding and gaming scenes, manufacturers try to lure in new customers with sleek and innovative designs that not only allow your computer to perform its best, but inspire envy at LAN parties. Most PC cases are intended for either full-fledged ATX cases, or small form factor PCs, but not much attention has been paid for Mini-ATX motherboards.
It has taken a while, but today Corsair formally announced their new top model chassis, the Obsidian 900D. One of the largest, most impressive enclosures we have had the pleasure of testing in our lab, the 900D raises the bar to new levels – but at least with our sample, we also saw evidence that Corsair may have some challenges to overcome in order meet its own standards. Nevertheless, the 900D may well be the most important chassis released this year and we examined every inch of it, not to mention running it through our standard tests in order to determine cooling and noise performance.
Antec, one of the biggest case manufacturers on our humble blue planet, has recently upgraded their cheap entry level gamers case, the Antec Three Hundred. The new version is simply baptised as the Three Hundred Two. The predecessor was one of Antec's best selling chassis, but Antec had to bring their little 300 up to 2012 standards. No quickly removable HDD bays, no tool-less optical drive bays and cable management was close to non existent. Logic design flaws as the original Three Hundred enclosure already dates back from 2009. Let's open the box and see what the Antec engineers came up with.
Having high air flow in computer chassis is essential for demanding computer users. Cooler Master has recognised this, and even named a whole series of chassis HAF, for High Air Flow. Some of those were indeed very effective at cooling, while others did not quite live up to the name. Nevertheless, this product line has garnered a loyal following, and this group will undoubtedly be interested in the cooling performance of the latest iteration, presented at Cebit earlier this year as the Cooler Master HAF XM.
