So, does the Twelve Hundred live up to all the hype? Is it, as Antec touts, the “Unbeatable Gaming Case?” If cooling and configuration options are the benchmarks we're looking at, it just may be. I love cases. If you’ve read any of my other case reviews, I swoon over them. Like a teenage girl yet to hit puberty swoons over a barely yet badly thought-out vampire who gets shiny in sunlight and eats animals. My getting to play with a new case is like a car lover getting a new body that is completely bare, just begging for new interior and a fast engine. Nothing is better than taking off the side and peering in to see what kind of crap you can cram in there.
Antec are a company that are prepared to make changes and revisions to products in order to further improve them and create top quality products. The P180 from the Performance One series was the first in a series and today we have the latest revision of this design – the P183. The P180 which was launched some time ago now was an instant hit, the P182 even better and hopefully the P183 that we have here today can improve upon an already highly impressive product. Antec have a great reputation for their cases so this should be of the highest order; let’s take a look.
