nMEDIAPC has made a name for itself in the home theater PC (HTPC) community for consistently delivering well-built, good-looking, and reasonably-priced chassis comfortable in the A/V stack. Offering a brushed aluminum front panel and a street price of $80, at first glance the HTPC 7000B seems to carry on this tradition. Coupled with two 120mm fans, we should expect excellent cooling from this full-height enclosure, but with a depth of just over twelve inches there are sure to be trade-offs where the form factor is both an asset and a liability; keep reading to find out how this case measures up.

Cooler Master has not exactly been idle in creating gaming accessories, or indeed anything that does not have to do with computer chassis. On the contrary actually, they have released solid products before, but not with a lot of diversity. A gaming mouse here, a notebook cooler there – but no real concrete line to create a path on. It seems as if the designers were waiting on how their initial products into the gaming market would do before expanding on them, but it is safe (and obvious) to say that because of this they remained relatively silent when compared to companies that make a name off of the gaming market, such as Razer, Logitech, and SteelSeries.

There was once this saying, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, and the rest was made in China". About ten years ago, when I was still in elementary school and did not know any better, I was at my friend's house, who was showing off his latest custom built machine. His computer system certainly carried the performance and the price -- spending nearly $3000 in total, it was a lot of money, even by today's standards. However, I have always wondered why he cheapened out on the case that boldly said "Lian Li" across the front. You know, Lian Li sounded like some ripoff brand from China, so why would anyone spend so much money on a computer only to put it all into a cheap knockoff chassis? However, as time moved on, I sooner or later realized Lian Li is not what I think they are. For one thing, they manufacture all their cases in Taiwan (So to respond to the quote in the opening of this paragraph, while God created the heavens and the earth in the beginning, not everything was actually made in China). Secondly, they are one of the most renowned chassis manufacturers in the world, specializing in exquisite all aluminum cases every true computer enthusiast desires. About two years ago, I have reviewed the Lian Li PC-Q07 mini-ITX computer case. The PC-Q07 has a beautiful clean design and brilliant quality one would expect from Lian Li. Fast forward to today, we have yet another Lian Li case here at APH Networks for testing. With the latest Diamond series PC-Z60 ATX mid-tower sitting next to me right now, does it hold true to Lian Li's long tradition of excellence? Read on to find out!

In the last few weeks we have taken a look at a wide range of chassis based on feedback we’ve received from our readers in regards to what form factor is most used for their home theater PC (HTPC) as the results were mixed. But one form factor which has not been covered simply due to a lack of viable options has been the “cube” case, which I have admired for years but never saw one compact enough for my home theater space--most of the cube cases were either very large or made of the clear acrylic and flashy lights not at all suitable for a living room. Only recently coming from overseas and available in the US, the Fractal Design Array R2 chassis provides a blend of refinement with a ton of storage space options, in an all aluminum black enclosure--not exactly a cube by measurement, but of similar structure.

We have also received the brother to the Neos chassis for review. Take a look at the more aesthetically simplistic Comrade case. Let's see what Chad says.
