Today we look at the first offering from a new company named BitFenix. Today we will be looking at their flagship case called Colossus. So join us as we look at what BitFenix is offering up to the enthusiast community and if their case can live up to the big name of Colossus.
It's not every day that we run across a company like BitFenix! Most all of them have broken ties with other manufacturers in the quest to deliver what they think is what the customer actually wants versus what is the best for their bottom end. BitFenix is going on the assumption that if you build it they will come. With just about everything in the world, if you develop something the masses desire, the money end will take care of itself. I have huge respect for those who go against the grain and strive to produce one thing that is awesome over a bunch of products that are OK, but really not worth mentioning or recommending to people.
A decent gaming rig requires the very best chassis to protect and cool all of your expensive hardware. Today we have our first product from BitFenix with The Colossus. The Colossus is a chassis for the uncompromising enthusiast. BitFenix claims that the Colossus offers unmatched expandability, security, and cooling all wrapped up in a modern and elegant body. Well, lets find out whether the Colossus lives up to all of these claims
Ihr Debüt in der Gehäuseszene feiert die Firma BitFenix gleich mit einem besonders großen Tower, dem Colossus. Das dieser denn Namen zurecht trägt, verät schon die Tatsache, dass es sich hierbei um einen Big-Tower handelt. Jedoch kommt dieser nicht wie viele andere Modelle mit großem Fenster oder einer lackierten, hochglänzenden Oberfläche daher. Ganz im Gegenteil, geschlossen und mit einer interessanten LED-Beleuchtung präsentiert sich uns der Tower. Auch die Gehäusekühlung soll besonders gut gelungen sein - wenn es nach der Aussage der noch jungen Gehäuseschmiede geht.
Bitfenix ist für Sie noch kein Begriff? Ok nach diesem Review wird sich das bestimmt ändern. Bitfenix hat sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, Produkte in hoher Qualität für Gamer und PC Enthusiasten zu liefern. Nun ist das erste Gehäuse aus der Schmiede bei Caseking erhältlich. Außergewöhnlich was die Beleuchtung betrifft und mit einigen Features ausgestattet die der eine oder andere sehr schätzen wird. Many of you may not have heard of BitFenix, a relatively new company on the scene. If you have been following KitGuru over the last few months however, you will have noticed that we have been focusing on them quite a bit. With industry veterans such as Coco Lee (ex Coolermaster) making up their ranks, BitFenix has been working to create the perception that their new chassis designs will redefine the market. With the launch of the Colossus, we get to see if this bit of tech has got what it takes to attract the enthusiast hordes.
If I have said it once, I have said it a thousand times... it takes a lot to impress me. Computer cases have made a wicked transformation over the years and there seems to be a few staples for me when it comes to my top picks. My main rig runs out of my Zalman Z-Machine GT1000 and my server makes its home inside the simple yet industrial Lian Li PC-75B (one of my all time favorite cases). As computer cases come and go here in the lab I hear the same song and dance; "This will be the best one you have reviewed yet" and for some reason a lot of them just fall short. BitFenix thinks they can break the current losing streak cases have had here with a design that is tough like Ray Lewis yet soft like Cinemax late night movies. Enter the Colossus.

The BitFenix Colossus is a full-tower case for gamers and PC enthusiasts, the company strongly focused on design and promises unmatched expandability, security, and cooling all wrapped up in a modern and elegant body. The Colossus is available in two versions, there's the usual all-black version and for those who prefer light colors the company has created a model with all-white exterior and interior.
