If you research a little about Fractal Design, you'll discover that "Design" in their name is not an accident. They've set out to "provide products with an extraordinary design level" using a "less-is-more" philosophy. With that in mind they've made some revisions to their Arc Midi enclosure, resulting in the new Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 computer case. The original was praised for its ability to accommodate radiators and other water cooling components in a mid-tower enclosure. Benchmark Reviews has the chance today to take a closer look at the revisions made to the Fractal Design Arc Midi. How does this case measure up to the competition? Read on to find out...

After finishing this review, I found the average online retailer price for this case to be around £50. This puts it up against the Antec 300 – a personal favourite of mine. Other than the SwordFin’s louder cooling, I think I’d choose SwordFin over the 300 any day. It is definitely better put together, and its steel construction helps with rigid stability.

Cooler Master get mentioned frequently here at eTeknix, whether it be for the latest product news and press releases or us getting our hands on the newest product(s) from them. They always seem to impress us no matter what they release and today will hopefully be no different.

Lian Li, makers of clean cut chassis, have been known to produce some cases of interesting shapes and sizes. While not novel, the one we're looking at today isn't the most usual of sizes. With a squatter stature, the PC-V354 is an interesting looking case that could be used as a stealthy desktop or a large HTPC. Let's check it out.

So, is Antec's Dark Fleet DF-85 chassis a worthy addition to their impressive line of gaming cases? If cooling and configuration options are the benchmarks we're looking at, it just may be. With seven case fans included (five 120's and a couple of 140mm top fans) and a distinctive look incorporating a chevron side window, uniform black finish inside and out and the front “Fleet Release” doors, the DF-85 brings a lot to the table in both performance and aesthetics.

The Prodigy is a sleek-looking case from Bitfenix, targeted to Mini-ITX systems and supporting 240 mm radiators and 10 SSDs. Lets check it out.

In order to achieve and become a “great” product, a case needs to succeed in a number of different areas. It not only has to keep the internals safe and secure, and with plenty of cooling but also look stunning too. Modders and enthusiasts pride themselves on the aesthetics of their enclosures and so the style, shape and even lighting of a chassis are hugely important.

Cooler Master has had great success with the HAF series of chassis designs. This lineup includes the HAF 932, the HAF 922, and the HAF X I had the pleasure of seeing about a month ago. The main idea of the chassis is to offer High Air Flow, as the naming scheme suggests. In all three of the previous versions, air flow was definitely included in the design and layout of those chassis’. Some had windows, some didn’t; some were painted black throughout, and some weren’t. In the HAF series, there was a nice mix of features, unique designs, and superior air flow in all.
