Once I got it all uncovered, I got a good look at this thing. It’s a matte black, which is something I’m fond of in my chassis, and it has that aggressive look that most case companies have been moving toward. Straight edges, sharp corners, and recesses that house buttons and ports that as a whole looks like it could be a cousin to that box from Hellraiser.
InWin is not the most well known brand, at least amongst UK enthusiasts, however with the ambitions and working ethic that In Win have set out, I am looking forward to reviewing their latest PC case.
Over the years I’ve tried a variety of computer cases for HTPC use. In the beginning the craze for HTPC cases were small, make it small, so cube cases were the craze, allowing for full height cards in the most compact spaces possible. Eventually HTPC cases moved onto incorporating the A/V style, with low profiles and custom expansion slot adapters. In some cases low profile, small form factors just don’t cut it. That is where the mini cube comes into play. Recently Vida Box has introduced a new line of cases, The VidaBox CubeCase. The Vida Box CubeCase is a Mini-Itx cube case server chassis/Media Center case. Vida Box is known for their premium HTPC parts, media server platforms, and complete digital entertainment and control solutions. We will see if this new case holds up to their brand and how it fits into their product line.
Thermaltake is a well known computer peripheral vendor specialize in thermal & cooling. Chassis is one of the famous line of business as its uniqueness and creativity make them as the market leader. In May 2011 Thermaltake just released Chaser MK-1 chassis; a brand new full ATX tower series which is integrated with a HDD docking station within the chassis as its major unique selling point.

Today I’ve got another case for review, this time from Thermaltake. The case is called the Chaser MK-1 and it’s big with bold styling and lots of features that anyone building a system can appreciate. The Chaser MK-1 has USB 3.0 ports built-in, 33cm fans to keep the system cool and it has a hard drive docking station built right into the case so you can quickly and easily access hard drives when you need to.

Das DS380 – DS steht für Drive Storage – könnte als Basis für einen Homeserver dienen und dabei bis zu acht 2,5"- oder 3,5"-Festplatten aufnehmen. Trotzdem lässt sich bei Verzicht auf einen Festplattenschacht auch eine längere Erweiterungskarte nutzen. Hinzu kommt ein Lüftungskonzept, das schon auf den ersten Blick hohe Erwartungen weckt.
Sharkoon is a company that I have yet to have the opportunity to look at any products from. I have seen the name and caught the news release for the latest submissions to our labs. This will be a three part series of reviews, as all three of the latest submissions of cases play off each other designs, but offer a fully customizable budget entry and a more midrange offering with a couple of fans supplied . Lastly, there will be a more top end model with Aluminum as the big treat.
We have another offering from Sentey and their “Extreme Division” line of cases today. This time we are going to take a look at their GS-6000 Optimus mid-tower case. Previously we looked at the Arvina GS-6400 which came away with top honors. With the Optimus, Sentey looks to be going for a budget version of the Arvina in the mid-tower size. The Optimus comes in two varieties, the GS-6000 which is all black and the GS-6000R with red highlights; we have the former on hand today.
