The L-900 V.REX F8 ("F8" means that the case supports eight fans) is the latest addition to 3R System's V.REX series of mid-tower cases. It is a basic entry-level case, with a very basic look and being the first model from this brand that we've reviewed that doesn't come with a plastic piece on its top panel featuring fans, fan controllers, and USB ports.

Sentey has brought the Burton to the table, and it’s a chassis made to be readily compared directly to enthusiast-level competition. While it isn’t a performance upgrade from the last GS-6400 model, it certainly is eye catching in its glossy stature, complimented by the blue glowing LEDs captured within its six included fans. However, nothing is perfect, and the Burton definitely has its imperfections, particularly its short front I/O cables that could render any front connections unusable.

The wonderful thing with the PC game is that while the huge firms always stick around - unless they're bought by another - smaller ones tend to come and go, which keeps the industry relatively fresh faced; at least in certain areas. One that sees a revamp every now and again is the chassis market; which is important, as innovation can often be hard to come by.

I know when we took a look at the ARES from Galaxis a lot of the finer details such as pricing and availability were sketchy at best. Today I have more information about the chassis in the Galaxis lineup, and I am pleased to bring you yet another mid tower chassis from Galaxis. Looking at the ARES, I saw some things that were right as rain for the design, but I also found a couple of finer points that make the case a little tough to use, depending on hardware. But all in all, it was still a decent case for the price.

In just over two years of reviewing I have seen many cases come and go, loads of ideas and implementations of some really creative solutions. I am pleased to say I have had the pleasure of working with some of the more expensive models as well as the majority of midrange and budget models. Rarely do I run across cases that cross those borders, but every once in a while you find that deal that you just can't pass up. It may be an offer of an unbelievable price, or it might just be exactly what you are looking for at the time. Either way, you just cannot keep yourself from adding it to your cart.
