There have been whisperings and rumours about Cooler Master’s entry into the water cooling market now for what seems like an age. As far as I can recall, these intensified back at CeBIT 2012 but they were around quite a bit before then. Cooler Master were planning 2012 launches of two different all-in-one water cooling series, the Eisberg and the Seidon. The Eisberg is intended for the ultra high performance and enthusiast market segments while the Seidon is intended for the mid range and enthusiast market segments. The Seidon series has already launched more or less on time but due to what we have heard are “production problems”, the Eisberg series is currently delayed and still awaiting its release.
Swiftech has been a major player in the water-cooling industry since 2001, but up to this point it they had not created a self-contained AiO unit. The H220 changes this though, as it is the first unit designed by Swiftech, but it is no simple cooler that would be comparable to the CoolIT and Aestek coolers. Instead, the Swiftech H220 is a custom made cooler that is designed for high-performance at low acoustic levels via an advanced design only Swiftech could make.
The system installed extremely well and didn't require 10 steps to assemble the mounting hardware. In fact, the hardware is so easy to use you can reconfigure the cooler from Intel to AMD in a matter of minutes which cannot be said for many of the competing products.

Recently we published a review of the Thermaltake Water 3.0 Pro liquid CPU cooler and I was inundated on the forums, main site and on the Facebook page with requests to review Corsair’s H80i. Most people believed the Corsair H80i was a direct competitor to the Thermaltake Water 3.0 Pro that needed to be tested for comparative purposes. Shortly after this I spoke with Corsair and they very kindly sorted us out with a H80i for review which leads us on to today’s review.
Corsair’s H80i is one of the most premium solutions of the Corsair Hydro Series and it sits just below the Corsair H100i in terms of its market placement.
