Oggi siamo lieti di presentarvi la recensione di un dissipatore a liquido a circuito integrato, top di gamma del famosissimo marchio Enermax, stiamo parlando del modello ELC-240! Similmente a molti modelli della concorrenza, si contraddistingue per un radiatore da 240mm, compatibile quindi con due coppie di ventole da 120mm; il waterblock presenta una pompa integrata e quindi le dimensioni saranno davvero molto contenute. Queste soluzioni cominciano a rappresentare la punta di diamante dei moderni sistemi di dissipazione per CPU, anche se è indubbio che le moderne soluzioni ad aria continuano a rappresentare validissime soluzioni, soprattutto per quanto riguarda il connubio rumorosità e potenza dissipante. Negli ultimi anni abbiamo assistito al fiorire delle soluzioni AIO, ma sono stati introdotti dissipatori aventi tecnologie proprietarie, tra cui il vapor chamber, sia orizzontale nel caso delle soluzioni Sapphire, che verticale nel caso di Coolermaster. NZXT has been making CPU coolers, computer cases, and other PC enthusiast related products for quite some time now. On the CPU cooler side of things, they have more recently created their Kraken series sealed liquid CPU coolers. This cooler is one that allows NZXT to tout as being the world’s first manufacturer to have a 140mm and 280mm radiator on a sealed water cooling system. These slightly larger radiator sizes, 36% larger to be more precise, are sizes that they’re hoping will give them the edge over other similar popular products that are already doing really well...
On paper, the idea of integrating liquid cooling on graphics cards makes a lot of sense. The clock frequency is mainly limited by the temperature, so better cooling implies higher speeds. It can also lower the overall temperature of your chassis since the fans of a liquid-cooled video card blow the air out of the chassis.
According to the latest sales charts we checked by several manufacturers around the globe it seems that CPU Air Coolers are still holding 1st place and are followed by AIO Liquid CPU Coolers (not very close) and complete custom water cooling kits. Custom water cooling kits may still follow in third place pretty much like always since because both of their price and installation difficulty they are still considered as enthusiast grade products but compared to even just 5 years ago they are much more popular right now and according to predictions unless something changes such solutions may get very close to AIO products.
