Today we look at the first self-contained water cooling kit, the Kuhler H2O 620. Join us as we put the Kuhler H2O 620 through the paces on our Intel Core i7 test system and see how it performs.
The Kühler H2O 620 from Antec is another all-in-one water cooler which does not need any maintenance during its lifetime, and it is recommended for people who want a very easy installation, without the hassle of building a complete water cooling loop from scratch.

A little over a year ago Zahn put the Corsair Hydro H50 Liquid CPU Cooler through the paces and awarded it our Silver Seal of Approval based on its performance, price and installation procedure. Corsair has since followed up on the original design with the release of the H70 which we will be taking a look at here today. The H70 features a lower profile water block / pump assembly, a thicker radiator and dual cooling fans, among other changes. These improvements sound great in theory but will they translate to real-world performance?

Ever tried to keep your X58 motherboards IOH and ICH temps at a reasonable operating temperatures ? To be honest most of the stock heatsinks really need some help as they are underdimensioned and/or lack an active fan. Temperatures over 65°C are very comon. Twelve months ago there were two major players in the factory sealed liquid cooler market, Corsair with their H50 and H70 models and CoolIT with their ECO and Vantage products. All four products were impressive in their own right and these two manufacturers were competing against each other for the same consumers, each looking for reviews and user experience to show their cooler in the best light.
Sealed, all-in-one water coolers seem to be the fastest-growing segment of the CPU cooler market today. Air coolers are reaching their physical limits: given the room inside existing cases, and the (frequently ignored) weight limits defined for CPU coolers, something like a Prolimatech Megahalems is about as big as you can get without running into problems. Water cooling systems work around these problems by moving the heat exchanger off of the CPU socket, and using a fluid to transfer heat from the CPU to the heat exchanger. Coolit Systems has been making retail and bespoke liquid cooling systems for some years now, and the Coolit Vantage A.L.C. cooler brings new features and performance to the fray. Antec's first foray into the watercooling arena is a very nice product. Given that the Kuhler H2O 620 is another rebranded Asetek unit, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the performance came very close to the Corsair H70 unit with its big radiator and dual fans.
