Watercooling
vercool is a company focused on cooling and with the Hawk1 they have another great cooling product for the portable computing market. The Hawk1 NB Cooling pad is thin, light and easily portable making it an ideal choice for netbooks and ultra portable notebooks.
Watercooling

Today DaveChaos will be testing the 120X from the Liqtech series from Enermax, a sealed liquid CPU cooler designed for Intel and AMD processors.

Enermax also makes the Liqmax 120X CPU cooler, a more extreme single radiator based AIO, with all the sleekest trimmings, which they sent in for testing.
Watercooling
Over the past 3-4 years we've witnessed an large number of AIO (All In One) liquid CPU coolers get introduced in the market by many of the leading DIY manufacturers that largely thanks to producing better performance levels compared to regular air CPU Coolers and having virtually zero clearance issues with other hardware components are considered to be the best choice for enthusiasts and gamers alike. However although the custom water-cooling market is still considered to be somewhat special (even after all these years) with the summer period reaching its peak (at least in the EU) more and more consumers in general are starting to trust all the latest AIO Liquid CPU cooling solutions (closed loop) since such devices effectively combine good/great performance levels at a fraction of the cost required to get a custom loop (yet higher performance) water-cooling solution. A few months ago Enermax introduced their own AIO liquid CPU Cooler offerings and since from this point forward we will be focusing on water-cooling quite a bit today we will be testing their high end ELC240 model.

Watercooling
Enermax's entrance in to the all in one water cooling market is one that interests many. This is primarily because unlike most other competitors, they have not opted for the traditional Asetek or CoolIT route. Instead they have opted to go with Asia Vital Components (as far as I know anyway). Even if AVC are not their chosen partners, it is still clear they are not working with Asetek or CoolIT. What this means is that performance will probably differ a lot to Asetek and CoolIT units, potentially for the better or for the worse - only testing will reveal this. Today we have with us the Enermax ELC 240 and as the name would suggest this product uses a 240mm radiator along with a pair of Enermax 120mm fans. With the ELC 240 Enermax are bundling two T.B. Silence 120mm cooling fans. Unlike the Enermax ELC 120 which comes with a choice of T.B or T.A fans, the ELC 240 is only available with T.B fans meaning you cannot have an LED option. Other than that key bit of information, the rest of the main specifications can be seen below.
Watercooling
Enermax certainly isn't a name we associate with watercooling and even though any company can take an Asetek/CoolIT base unit and slap their own fans and branding on it, Enermax haven't done that. Enermax haven't officially announced who is the OEM producer of their ELC watercooling units, it is clearly not them. My educated guess, based on what I have read and seen, is that Asia Vital Components are the makers of it. It is seemingly not a CoolIT or Asetek rebrand so we should expect the performance to differ from those types of units. However, whether this is a positive or negative difference is the really important question.
