Coolermaster produce a lot of different products, from massively high end cases to low end budget coolers; and that's what we're looking at today. A little fella' called the Coolermaster Hyper 101. The name looks to fit well, but does it perform when under pressure? That's what we're here to find out.

Over the years I have had many CPU coolers go through my hands some good, some not so good, some so flimsy just installing them almost destroyed them, some so bulky and heavy I had to make a prop to prevent one snapping a board.

Noctua's portfolio of premium fans is ever growing in breadth. They have fans for almost every usage scenario and market segment. The recent introduction of three new fans is the next step in Noctua being able to offer a more extensive range of cooling fans.
Noctua have kindly sent us three of their newest fans for review today. These fans expand Noctua's 140mm fan range - before they launched these new fans they only had a single 140mm fan, the NF-P14 FLX. Two of the new fans are based on the same raw design just with different operating speeds, the NF-A14 FLX (Faster variant) and NF-A14 ULN (Slower variant). The other model we have been sent, the NF-A15 PWM, is something very unique. It is a 140mm fan with a 150mm width (for additional airflow due to bigger fan blades) that features 120mm mounting holes. What this means is you can get extra performance on 120/140mm supported CPU heatsinks where having "fan overhang" isn't an issue - impressive and innovative stuff.
Compared to previous fan reviews I have done here at eTeknix I will be trying a new review method. This time we will be using a CPU heatsink as a proxy for the performance of these three fans. The CPU heatsink in question is the Thermalright Macho Rev.A (BW) and this supports 120/140mm fans. We will continue to do the normal acoustic tests to allow us to compare results with a selection of other fans but we will also have these extra performance proxy results to refer to as well so you can get some indication of performance. I hope this will mean we can offer you more useful fan reviews, but please do leave any feedback that you may have along the way so we can improve the content we offer you. Ultimately it is what you want and think that is most important to us so please be as vocal as you can.

CPU cooler is one of the common hardware when people are planning to upgrade their PC besides HDD and DIMM as lowering down the CPU temperature will ensure system as reliable as possible. Today let us have a quick look on Titan Skalli CPU cooler which is pretty similar with what we have reviewed previously; Buffalo.

Viel Spass beim Lesen.

The Silverstone Heligon HE02 is being sold as a passive heatsink for sub-95W TDP processors, so today on Frostytech we'll put this big, boxy, silent heatsink through its passive paces. No fans will be used in the testing, just good old noise-less convection cooling. We should note that wire fan clips are supplied for users who wish to add two 120mm fans. Silverstone's Heligon HE02 heatsink is made from a pretty common mix of nickel plated aluminum fins soldered to six 6mm diameter copper heatpipes. The heatpipes are capped off by a chunky nickel plated copper base plate. Noise wise, this is a completely silent passively cooled heatsink, which means you'd better have a case with lots of air vents.

When the ezFan notebook cooler first arrived, we had reservations as to how well t would perform. Many notebook coolers in the past have offered little in the way of cooling and, in truth, been very disappointing.

With a company like Thermaltake we are used to seeing a unique take on things and normally at very affordable hits to our wallets. In our preview of their new cooler, the Jing, we are going to see yet another product from them that is both unique and budget friendly, but also accomplishes them with very little noise, hence the name of the cooler. For those not so brushed up on their Chinese to English translation, the word Jing means Silent. Along with this silence is the overall theme of being "green". As so elegantly stated at Computex, noise is part of the environment, so with the silent green fans it carries that idea into the finished product.

Not too long ago, I took a look at the Noctua NH-U9B SE2. Today I am going to compare that to the Arctic Freezer 13 from Arctic Cooling. Arctic has long been known for their cooling products, but has also branched out into peripherals as of late. Taking a look at one of their core products, the Freezer 13, should make for a nice comparison against the recently reviewed Noctua heatsink.
