Recently, Noctua released some updates to the NF-P14 fan in the form of not one, but three new models; the NF-A15 PWM, NF-A14 ULN and NF-A14 FLX. Each fan offers something slightly different than the other, such as the ability to mount in 120mm vs. 140mm fan mounting holes, or different speed/silence options. I was a big fan of the original NF-P14, which still sees use on my CPU cooler today, so I have high expectations that these new fans will bring me some noticeable upgrades to the series.

At the heart of this 158mm tall heatsink are four 8mm diameter copper heatpipes and a 120mm, 68CFM fan. The heatpipes are all exposed at the base while the aluminum fin stack is pretty standard; there aren't any fancy leading edges, punched out cooling fin patterns or unnecessary plastic fan shrouds. The 120mm fan rotates at 1800-1300RPM and moves upwards of 68CFM through the heatsinks' 112x130mm fin stack.

Riesenauswahl – doch welcher Lüfter hält, was versprochen wird.

Lets test the Noctua NH-L9i, a low-profile CPU cooler with a 92 mm fan and only 1.46 (37 mm) tall. Check it out!

The Zalman LQ310 is an entry-level liquid cooling system for processors. It has a 120 mm radiator with an 120 mm fan installed. Let's test it.

NZXT's Respire series comprises of both the Respire T40 and T20. We have already taken a look at the Respire T40 which you can read here. The NZXT Respire T20 is a cut down version of the Respire T40 so naturally the price is a bit lower and thus the performance will also be lower too. The big question though, is "how much lower will the performance be than the Respire T40"?

On the dock today is NZXT's Respire T20 heatsink. The Respire T20 stands 160mm tall, putting it in the class of full tower CPU coolers. At the heart of this 510 gram heatsink are three heatpipes; two 6mm diameter and one 8mm diameter, all exposed at the base for efficient heat conduction.

The infamous beige and brown colour scheme of Noctua fans may be "make or break" for some people's buying preferences, but that hasn't stopped the Noctua NF-F12s being some of the most respected 120mm fans on the market. Surprisingly, we've yet to take a look at the Noctua NF-F12 fans here at eTeknix and today we've managed to get some in from Noctua to have a good look at. In an era when consumers are being increasingly more fussy about aesthetics, quality and noise, Noctua have managed to make a name for themselves with the NF-F12s.
We are going to walk you briefly through the Noctua NF-F12 fans and show you how their acoustic performance stacks up against some competing fans. Unfortunately we can't do any CFM-airflow tests as we lack the expensive equipment to do so, also using proxy measurements like fan performance on CPU heatsinks is a very hit-and-miss process because different heatsinks require different things - some benefit from static pressure, others from high airflow and others from a mix of both. Add to that the fact you can start playing around with single or dual fan configurations, PWM speeds or fixed speeds like 500/1000/1500RPM, different testing environments like cases or open air test benches and suddenly you've got more graphs than you can shake a stick at - let alone draw accurate conclusions from.
