SilverStone released their Argon series of CPU coolers about three months ago and this launch comprised of the AR01, AR02 and AR03. We have actually already reviewed the SilverStone AR01 and you can see our review here. Today we are taking a look at what you might call the AR02's younger sibling as this is essentially an identical CPU cooler except shrunken down quite a lot. Unlike its bigger sibling it features three 6mm not 8mm heat pipes, a 92mm fan not a 120mm fan and a much smaller heatsink. You can see the full specifications below.
Being so low cost and compact this CPU cooler is really aimed at budget users with space constraints and would be perfect for micro-ATX and HTPC cases that only support small CPU coolers. With quite significant down-sizing versus the AR01 we are expecting the performance to drop off a bit but the AR01 was an epic performing CPU cooler as our results showed and so we are still expecting results from this AR02 to be strong.

Today we have the chance to put the NZXT HAVIK 140 CPU Cooler through its paces. This is the first retail CPU Cooler that NZXT have released and if size matters, they will have a winner on their hands! The HAVIK 140 uses six, 6mm heatpipes, 46 aluminum fins and dual 140mm fans to dissipate heat.

Today we look at the follow to the excellent Freezer Xtreme (Rev.2) CPU Cooler – the Freezer 13. The Freezer 13 has been redesigned from the ground up and features many improvements, including a new maximum cooling capacity of 200w (from 160w). Surprisingly in this age of ever increasing cooler sizes, it is also smaller, and features an incredible $25 price point. It also follows the tradition of Arctic’s high performance mainstream processor coolers by not requiring a backplate mounting system.

The GELID Icy Vision Is a 5-heat pipe VGA cooler compatible with both AMD Radeon and NVIDIA GeForce video cards. Revision 2 of the GELID Icy Vision VGA cooler extends compatibility to include Radeon HD7850 and HD7870 video cards as well as GeForce GTX 680, Quadro 4000 and GeForce TITAN video cards. A pair of 92mm GELID UV Blue fans actively cools the Icy Vision Rev 2 and is designed to deliver superior cooling performance with minimal noise. The GELID Icy Vision comes with several aluminum heatsink pieces with dual-sided adhesive thermal pads to accommodate various video card designs. GELID also provides a tube of GC-2 thermal compound for the GPU core so the Icy Vision VGA kit is ready to be used right out of the box. Displaying full confidence behind the Icy Vision Rev. 2 VGA cooler, GELID backs it up with a 5-year warranty, enough to last through more than one video card upgrade cycle.

The Glacialtech X-Wing R1 notebook cooling pad accomodates chronically overheating notebooks with footprints of up to 365x250mm, either while sitting on a desk or resting comfortably on your lap. That means netbooks with screens as small as 7" and full size laptops with screens as wide as 17" should fit onto the X-Wing R1 without a problem. The bottom of the X-Wing is curved so it rests across your legs comfortably, without restricting airflow or cutting into you as some all-metal notebook cooling pads will.
