Today we test the most high-end heatsink from Noctua. It comes with two fans pre-equipped and will fill up all but the largest eATX cases. Dubbed the NH-D14 this beast comes with a 120mm AND 140mm fan which are spec'ed for low noise operation. Can it handle the heat of an overclocked Core i7? Time to find out.

This is the smallest cooler in height I have ever tested, even shorter than the 45mm stock Intel cooler, out of the box. In relative size it should, or could rather, be cooled with an 80 or 92mm fan, but that isn't the case in Prolimatech's latest submission.

Sometimes, when space requirements are stretched rather thin during a system installation, every last inch inside a case may count. When that's the case, one thing you don't want to let suffer in the space jam is your cooling setup. Tightly packed cases and components will have less room for airflow and ventilation, which makes having a strong cooling setup even more important than a larger chassis. When this is the case, you may want to look into thin profile fans which may give you a little extra clearance inside your case and still allow you to maintain some active airflow.
Aircooling
CPU cooling is primarily dominated by air coolers, but recently a lot more interest has been placed on overclocking. This requires better CPU cooling and generally speaking overclocking enthusiasts tend to choose watercooling over the top end air coolers. However, with ever-improving heat dissipation technologies being applied to the latest air coolers can they win back some of the overclocking enthusiast market?

The new fan controller from Scythe has retractable buttons which are useful in a number of cases, but also includes features like 12V start-up voltage, alarms or power feed control. The VFD display in front lets us check the current fan speeds and temperatures (in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit) for each channel.

No matter which laptop you have, the expensive or inexpensive one, they pretty much all seem to get very hot in a short period of time. NZXT has released their fifth notebook cooler, the Cryo X60, model RN-CRX60-B1. With a slim profile design using two 120mm asymmetrical cooling fans, aluminum construction, and high airflow with vented aluminum mesh cutouts. Supports laptops up to 16" screen size. This is a premium laptop cooler with an integrated 4 port usb hub and a 5 speed fan controller that runs optionally on Usb power or AC adapter. Built by NZXT known for gamer enthusiast quality cooling products and accessories, Benchmark Reviews will be testing this cooler for performance and value.

Whether you're looking for AMD or Intel cooler this cooler fits all! Well, not all exactly, but it'll definitely fit into any latest sockets from AMD or Intel. GlacialTech was kind enough to send us their new Igloo Alaska from multi-platform series.

The second in my series of Antec reviews is the Kühler H²O 620, another self-contained liquid cooling unit for your CPU. The Kühler H²O 620 is a more basic, simple and cheaper version of the Kühler H²O 920. Although lacking some of the features of its bigger brother, we will see if the 620 wins in the value for money department.

Arctic Cooling is one of the more well known manufacturers in the PC hardware industry, especially when it comes to smart cooling solutions. The company also manufactures power supplies and computer cases. The Swiss mark may be most known for the VGA coolers; ”Accelero Xtreme” and “Accelero Twin Turbo” which are available for more or less all the medium to high end graphics cards on the market.

The Noctua NH-U14S CPU Air Cooler one of the best CPU coolers on the market. It has a copper baseplate, many copper heatpipes, lots aluminum fins and one large fan, but another can be added. Also, it's well constructed, they include full tube of thermal compound, low noise adapter & comes with a 6 year warranty.
