While the G9T is certainly serviceable around the home environment, I'm a bit troubled by Titans choice of materials and some of the design features. Starting with the cooling pad itself, the thin aluminum veneer doesn't do much to strengthen the plastic construction, and the thin metal clips, designed to stiffen the unit when deployed, don't inspire much confidence.
Today's review of the Fenrir cooler will test to see whether this is a good, great, or excellent cooler both aesthetically and through benchmarking on a Intel I7 965 Extreme Edition processor pushed to full load. Top down cooling has its advantages, though tower cooling is usually the preferred method given its compact footprint. As a huge bonus to the buyers of the newer coolers I am seeing, the coolers themselves are getting more and more efficient, and new leaps are being made in fan designs. If I were to tell you I was using a 2000 RPM fan that would push about 60 CFM, you would assume there to be a nice hum emanating from the fan.
