Xigmatek's Loki is a terrific little cooler that packs a lot of performance into a compact package that's easily installed and should fit on just about any board and in most cases. Widely available online for as little as $25 US, Loki is also very reasonable and represents an excellent value.

The Hyper 101 is a small and inexpensive tower cooler, with two heatpipes and an 80-mm fan. Let's test it and see its performance.

Swiftech has been a major name in air cooling in the past and with the Polaris 120 they are solidly throwing their hat back in the ring. The tower style cooler is a break from their Helicoid design but the performance shows they have done their homework. Five large 8mm direct contact heatpipes along with a tower that features a tunneling design delivers good performance. The design of the mounting hardware incorporates all of the major CPU sockets and limits the amount of installation hardware required.

The Frio OCK is a CPU cooler from Thermaltake. It has a tower heatsink with six heatpipes and two 130 mm fans. Check it out!

In this review Frostytech will be putting the Evercool Transformer 3 heatsink through its paces. The Transformer 3 is a tower-style heatsink which stands exactly 160mm tall. The cooler comes with a single 120mm PWM fan that operates at speeds of 2200RPM to 800RPM, though a second fan can added to the rear if desired. Four white vibration absorbing rubber posts are used to reduce vibrations from the fan motor to the heatsink, extra fan posts are supplied. The heatsink stands 160mm tall, is 130mm wide and 78mm deep with the single fan.

Laptop coolers are becoming a very popular accessory as more and more people turn to using laptops as their choice of computer system. Laptops do have a reoccurring theme that nearly all get quite hot, this is due to their design and their compromise between thickness, size and airflow. Unfortunately, this is not too good for the components and more importantly your lap.

Looking back when I was a stubborn and arrogant little child (Some 3-4 years ago), it was almost crystal clear to me that laptop cooling pads were a waste of money. Reason? Well, at the time, it seemed ludicrous as to why and how adding additional cooling to the underside of a notebook could improve performance when; (A) Even though most notebooks can get pretty hot under load, their underside still usually remains fairly cool; (B) The fans from the cooling pad are obviously not blowing directly at the components making it quite inefficient; and (C) Cooling pads are generally bulky, loud, and very unappealing. Also, I cannot forget to mention that my brother's laptop still managed to catch on fire at the time, although there are probably more problems to that than just overheating, haha. Certainly, many of you readers are questioning the capabilities of notebook cooling pads like I did. You are unsure of whether investing in one will actually lower the temperatures of your laptop. And even if the temperatures go down by a small fraction, is it really worth your hard earned moolah? Since these fundamental questions are frequently asked, let me provide you with some insight. Simply read this review and all your questions will be answered. Hey, what did you expect? I cannot provide all the answers without you making it half way. But I can introduce you to today's review on Cooler Master's NotePal Infinite EVO. Simply put, this tame cooling solution is quite the buy (Since as the name suggests, the unit went through infinite evolutions), so let's jump right in!
