The Igloo 5761 Silent heatsink uses a familiar top-down-fan approach, with three 6mm diameter exposed base heatpipes conducting heat from the CPU to a small thin aluminum fin cooling stack. The cooling fins are topped off by a bright yellow 92x92x25mm PWM vaneaxial fan that operates at a fixed speed of 1200RPM. The fan outputs roughly 34CFM of air according the mfgr's specs, the airflow being directed down through the aluminum fin array and past the three intersecting copper heatpipes.

One thing I didn't anticipate with my move to the ITX form factor was the tight fit inside the ITX case I chose. I had to give up my large dual tower, dual 140mm silent fan Noctua cooler in favor a much smaller cooler I had in the parts bin (the only thing laying around that would fit the depth requirements). I wanted a better cooler, but I wanted something that was both ultra quiet (a big requirement for my regular usage) and high performing (for when I want to put on a game here and there). This is where Noctua's latest cooler, the NH-L9i, seemed to fit the bill.

If there is one thing that Apple has proven to the world it’s that creating an image that individuals want to identify with will sell your product. This technique has been repeated time and again in recent years, especially in the tech world. One company to do this and totally create an image that their target market can identify with is NZXT. Established in 2004 and focusing originally on computer enthusiast cases, NZXT have quickly and successfully ground out a segment of the gaming/case modding community to call their own. With a strong following in both the case and power supply market NZXT released the Havik air cooler in June of 2011. It was met with great success and rave review. The Havik was released at a price point aimed at the upper level overclocker, it would seem that since then NZXT has become interested in the lower entry and mid level market. And that brings us to todays test subjects, we will be thoroughly analyzing both the NZXT Respire T20 and T40 air coolers.

Noctua has recently launched two new low profile coolers that measures only 37 mm in
height. There's an Intel version called NH-L9i for Intel socket LGA1150, LGA1155 and
LGA1156 and an AMD version called NH-L for the AM2 (+), AM3 (+), FM1 and FM2 platform.
The Noctua cooler is with the small size ideal for media centers or similar and in
addition also be low-noise, but without compromising the performance. How it performs,
have a look in the renvew.
