Let’s talk about air coolers! Ok specifically let’s take a look at a pretty massive air cooler from our German friends over at be quiet!, the Dark Rock Pro 2. This is a large twin heat sink air cooler aimed at the more performance oriented consumer. With claims of massive cooling power, why don’t we see if this dark cooler deserves a place in your rig, or if it should be outcast to the dark side of the moon.

I don't know about you all but where i live things are pretty hot right now and when i say hot i mean around 28 degrees inside the house so it didn't take much time for me to decide that another CPU Cooler review would be appropriate today (actually yesterday). Now as many of you know there aren't many CPU Coolers that i haven't tested both here and in my previous engagement but there's is a single manufacturer with which i never had the chance to cooperate with in the past. Of course as stated at the title that manufacturer is be quiet! and today we will be taking a look at their latest Dark Rock Pro 2 high end CPU Cooler.

Today we are going to look at the latest addition to their CPU cooler range, the Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 2 which is a refreshed version of the existing Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro which we reviewed here. This replaces the old model as the flagship of the Be Quiet! range with a few updates including an improved mounting system and larger fans.

While the market is flooded with many options and styles to choose from, one market has always remained competitive and populated with choices year after year. I am, of course, talking about the large, multi-heat pipe air coolers and today we are going to take a look at the Dark Rock Pro 2 from Be Quiet! to see if it holds up through installation and our new testing procedures.
