Aircooling
Today, at TechwareLabs we get the treat of being able to test the Thermaltake SpinQ. The SpinQ is no joke; with its stylish futuristic jet engine like appearance and its unique airflow design it's no wonder they have been winning countless awards for their products.
Aircooling
ith the SpinQ, Thermaltake is breaking new ground in aesthetics and design. The blue LED centrifugal fan and innovative fin design make for an interesting product that is visually exciting and would be a definite asset in a windowed case. As far as cooling performance, it is as good, or better than the majority of high-end coolers on the market at stock voltages.
Aircooling
Thermaltake's SpinQ heatsink is undeniably good looking. It stands 152mm tall and is made from nickel plated aluminum fins soldered over six copper heatpipes. creates an eleven-sided helix that resembles a cheese grater on steroids. Nestled in the middle is an 80mm diameter, 85mm long squirrel cage fan that draws air in through both center openings and expels it out in all directions through the 20mm wide circular cooling fins.

In this review we’ll be looking at an innovative and new cooler from ThermalTake called the SpinQ. The SpinQ is a very unique heatsink in that it employs a heatpipe design that is cooled internally by a large and powerful squirrel cage blower.
Aircooling
Geared to support gamers and high-end enthusiasts in their battle against excess heat, the Thermaltake SpinQ (CL-P0466) CPU cooler features 50 waved aluminum fins -- shaped in classic cylinder figure – spirally arrayed around an 80mm 1600RPM fan. The patented fin design is said to provide great airflow and can help keep your processor and motherboard components nice and cool.

Thermaltake is one of the leading and famous thermal & cooling brand for computer peripheral especially for DIY enthusiasts. Today we are glad that our first Thermaltake review sample arrived on our doorstep which is SpinQ VT which is an improved model of SpinQ CPU Cooler. Let us have a deep dive review on this interesting unique CPU cooler from Thermaltake.
Aircooling
While the Thermaltake SpinQ VT CPU cooler may not be capable of extreme cooling, it performs very ell when compared to other high performance air coolers; and it looks really cool while doing it. Another plus is that it doesn't create much noise at all, and even at high speed it was barely audible over the other components in the test system.
Aircooling
We tested SpinQ VT CPU cooler from Thermaltake, which have a very unique design, with a cylindrical heatsink and a centrifugal fan. Check it out!
Aircooling
Nowadays CPU coolers come in every imaginable size and shape. While some still retain the same basic format, many now sport heatpipes and exotic coatings, even the processor OEM coolers. And some are just downright strange looking, like the Thermaltake SpinQ. The SpinQ VT is slightly different from the original SpinQ in that it tilts the cylinder vertical. The number and dimensions of the fins remain the same, as does the 80mm centrifugal fan, other than LED color. And despite Thermaltake's advertised spec that the fins are now copper as well, the SpinQ VT weighs in at almost 175g less than the SpinQ.
