You asked for it, we got it. Today Chris takes the world's first look at the OCZ Vector 128GB SSD based on the new Indilinx Barefoot 3 controller that is raging fast. Can the smallest capacity Vector outperform existing SSDs on the market costing less? We'll find out today and also see more tests that make up the 2013 bench tests.

There is no denying that Corsair has made some significant improvements to the Survivor family. The latest GTR spanks the competition in speed and still manages to provide water resistance to a very durable enclosure.

Do you remember the ONE big thing you wanted every year? You saw commercials about it and told your friends about all of its features, and how you were going to use it. I just got mine, the Synology Disk Station 210+, and I'm not the only one, Synology is so excited about it, it's the first item on their homepage. Find out why we are so excited about the DS210+ and why you should be too.

Looking for a flash drive that lets out that little artist within? Look no further, X-tremeGeek is here to rescue you with the "Bone Collection" by Fruitshop. Will these fancy looking drives prove to us that "you shouldn't judge a book by its cover", or will it send us back to the library for something else. Join Artiom as TechwareLabs takes a look.

We managed to get the first review of a SandForce SF-1200 product out before anyone else when the Corsair Force F100 went up just last week. At the time we were planning on the A-DATA S599 arriving before the Corsair drive which came in unannounced and was a great surprise. Two days later the S599 arrived and at the same time Intel let us know that a new driver was on the way that would support RAID TRIM and bring new optimized performance for many SATA products.

We've looked at many SSDs here, and they've mostly been implementations of the popular SandForce NAND controller. While this isn't a bad thing, as the performance offered by those drives have been good, it's good to see more competition in the growing SSD market. The last generation of drives we looked at from OCZ fit this mould. The Vertex 3 series SSDs used the SF-2280 series of controllers, but with the Vertex 4 series, OCZ chose to go with something different. Fresh off aquisition of Indilinx, the Vertex 4 uses the Everest 2 controller. We'll see how it performs and if it's a worthy successor in OCZ's Vertex series.

If the last many pages haven't said it enough, the TS-559 Pro is fast, and to date the fastest NAS unit we've looked at. I don't mean to be all Forest Gump '. and that's all I have to say about that', but there really is no disputing the 'the fastest NAS unit we've looked at'- so far. And believe me, we've seen quite a number of network attached storage units

The picture isn't crystal clear just yet, but at CES we cleared part of the cloud surrounding companies 2011 solid state drive products. At the very least we will see seven new SSD controllers enter the market in 2011. Of those, four are directed at the consumer market and three are enterprise designs. Only time will tell which consumer controllers get converted to enterprise models and vice versa. Of the seven overall, we saw working samples of three and they were all twice as fast as the Crucial RealSSD C300 128GB drive.
