USB flash drives have been around for quite a long time and are great for easily storing and transferring files. The mobile devices that we have these days have limited storage and with some you have the ability to add a USB storage, but with most devices this is not possible. Well SanDisk has come up with a great product that not only gives you USB storage but also wireless storage for your mobile devices as well. It is the SanDisk Connect Wireless Flash Drive, which looks like your ordinary flash drive, but also allows you to stream content wirelessly to up to 3 devices at once! Read on as we take a look...

The Crucial MX200 is yet another in the many steps that Crucial has taken on over the past few generations, their SSD lines building slowly upon the last since their first release so long ago. Replacing their M4, the M500 introduced a plethora of new features such as hardware encryption, data path protection, and power loss protection. The higher performing M550 built upon the M500 by introducing a newer controller and had faster performance. And when released just last summer, the MX100 built upon the M500 series design and introduced 128Gbit 16nm NAND to take our Top Value award with ease.

Our evaluation of the SanDisk Ultra Plus SSD surpasses that of a typical analysis, in that, it provides the reader with the ability to understand what is possible if you are the ‘Owner of The Fab’. In this SSD build, SanDisk has not only moved to the new Marvell 9175 controller but also, they introduce nCache, a totally new performance and endurance enhancement that is possible only with the control of flash memory that a manufacturer of that memory would have. Our SSD analysis today will provide you with, not only the information you need to decide if the SanDisk Ultra Plus is the SSD for you but also, a very easy understanding of nCache through the straightforward explanation of the most basic SSD principles, many of which most still don’t understand. GraB a coffee because class is in session!

We all know OCZ as one of the top names in the SSD market. Believe it or not just a few years ago their main focus was enthusiast memory! The popular 3rd party solid state drive controller that everyone has been using over the past year or so has been the SandForce SF-2281 chip. Because so many companies are using the same controller the solid state drive market has become saturated with the same type of drives that offer just about the same performance. OCZ wants to remain a big player in the solid state drive market and with their purchase of Indilinx last year they made that very apparent. Earlier this year OCZ announced the second generation Everest solid state drive controller (Everest 2) and the Vertex 4 is the first consumer drive to use this controller. With rated speeds of 560MB/s read and 510MB/s write it is set to compete very well with SandForce-based drives. Read on as we check out this new drive from OCZ!

Crafted from Aluminum, the enclosure is definitely one designed with the aesthetic-oriented tech crowd in mind. Keeping this in mind, does it keep up in terms of performance too?
