The AMD Radeon HD 8000M is based on the second generation of the Graphics Core Next architecture and will be produced with a 28nm manufacturing process. Codenamed Solar System, the four chips will cover everything from entry-level graphics cards to high-end ones.

Recently we've been reviewing some pretty high end graphics cards, and while it's all well and good checking out the £100 plus fair, the real money is made for the manufacturers in the budget, to mid range cards. So, if you're looking at the current generation of ATI's GPUs, and anything with 4 and 8 at the start of the name is too much for you, perhaps the 4670 from HIS is up your street; let's test it and find out.

Occasionally I'll have a sample that slips through the cracks; the HD 5770 SOC from GIGABYTE is one of those cards. When I first heard about the model I was looking forward to testing it. Combine the SOC series from GIGABYTE which we love, along with the HD 5770 which carries with it some excellent value, and we thought surely we're onto a winner.

A week ago on Sept 13 2010, GTS450 was officially added into NVIDIA GeForce family with Fermi GPU architecture. Today we have a chance to review EVGA GeForce GTS450 and our sample is an overclocked version which comes with high speeds than the NVIDIA reference card. Besides that EVGA has bundled EVGA Precision and OC Scanner tool which are pretty useful overclocking and monitoring tools. Without further delay, let us reveal this upcoming most sellable graphic card.

Graphics cards have been improving at breakneck speeds over the last little while. The Radeon HD 5000 series allowed AMD and ATI to beat NVIDIA to the punch with DirectX-11 capable video cards. NVIDIA quickly responded with the GTX 400 series which started out hot and powerful, but came back to really define the price point with the GTX460 video card. Along came the GTX 500 series and the Radeon HD 6000 series to fill out some positions and give us a new card for the top end of the performance spectrum. By now, we have all heard about where the different cards lie in regards to performance and price. We are at the point now where there is a slight lull in the production of brand new equipment and manufacturers are focusing on putting their own spin on the different flavors to revitalize stuff that has been on the market a while. In early February, MSI took the Radeon HD 6870 design and made it their own in the MSI R6870 Hawk with the Twin Frozr ! III thermal design and the world's first look into propeller blade cooling technology. Benchmark Reviews is taking an in-depth look at the MSI R6870 Hawk and while testing this factory overclocked video card, we will be examining exactly what makes it unique in a world full of Radeon HD 6000 series cards.

The HIS 7750 iCooler 1GB is not your hardcore gaming GPU and it is not meant to be. What it is, is a silent and good performer for an entry level gamer. With no need for an extra power connection and its silent operation it is an ideal choice for a casual gamer’s upgrade from the typically dreadful onboard video. HIS once again does a number with their iCooler design delivering silent and efficient performance.

From the word go, there's been strong talk that the GTX 460 is an overclocking master. Considering the fact that Palit offered us a core 125MHz over the stock one, we're going to believe those rumors. Let's be honest, though; companies never push a card as hard as it can go, so while we're extremely impressed with what Palit has done we're sure there's going to be more room under the hood of this 1GB variant of the GTX 460.

We all remember the 5000 series cards from AMD and how much of an impact they had to the market by offering great performance at a fantastic price point. Shortly after this era, the 6000 series arrived on the scene offering better tessellation and technical effects for that similar pricing structure.

TechwareLabs reviews the Sapphire HD 7850 OC showing a reasonably priced Radeon card with Eyefinity puts up benchmark numbers that challenge or surpass the NVIDIA 500 series. We benchmark the HD 7850 OC on a PCI 3.0 and PCI 2.0 motherboard to see if the HD 7850 OC has what it takes to take advantage of this new technology.
