The Club 3D GTX480 has 480 cores and has a GPU operating at 700MHz. It also has 1401 shaders and 1536MB of GDDR5 memory running at 3696MHz and is paired up with a 384-bit memory interface.
The GTX470 version is only a little bit slower but not by much. The 470 has 448 cores and the same reference clocks as the rest of the GTX 470 cards that are currently up on the market today. It has a core clock speed of 607MHz, 1215MHz for the shaders, and a speed of 3348MHz for the 1280MB of GDDR5 memory which is nicely paired up with a 320-bit memory interface.

Sparkle Computer Corp is perhaps best known for their nVidia-based graphics cards. They have sent over one of their latest creations, a version of the popular GTS 250 graphics chipset. This is the same G92 series core that first appeared in the 8800GT and continued in use through the early 9600GSO, 9800GT, GTX and GTX+ cards, finally to end up as the GTS 250. Over its lifespan the G92 has gone through a die shrink from 65nm to 55nm, which helped to result in less power usage and lower temperatures. Sparkle has taken that concept to a whole new level with a low power, low profile version of the GTS 250 designed for use as a home theater PC component.

NVIDIA's long awaited high end products have finally been released, satisfying the ever-craving performance enthusiasts. However the release of the high end cards does not mean that NVIDIA lost interest in the mainstream market where the majority of gamers and users wants to combine performance with value. Today we are going to test the performance of three NVIDIA GT 240 GFX cards, which even though they are all based on the same GT 215 core, are very different from each other.

The Zotac GeForce GTX-480 is based on the same reference design that debuted on 26 March 2010, but this retail kit (ZT-40101-10P) differs in all of the ways that matter most: power consumption is lower, resulting in reduced heat output and silenced fan noise. Priced at $499, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 empowers DirectX-11 video games to deliver unmatched geometric realism. In this article Benchmark Reviews tests 3D frame rate performance on the improved retail-version Zotac GeForce GTX-480 in single-card and SLI-modes, and compares results against some of the most powerful graphics products on the market.

For the environmentally, economically and otherwise interested parties, PowerColor has introduced a new line of graphics cards under the "Go! Green" banner. These cards aim to reduce power consumption by half while still competing with and beating the competition. Benchmark Reviews has obtained the AX5670 1GBD5-NS3H which has been modified from the HD 5670 reference design to include an extra 512MB of memory as well as reduce power consumption. This review will test the lofty goals set by PowerColor as well as reveal the truth about going green.

Asus is one of the first manufacturers to actually have GeForce GTX 480s available to buy (at least intermittently), so we were delighted when the firm's Voltage Tweak edition of the card arrived in the ITShootOut.com office. This happened to coincide rather nicely with the arrival of our 2GB Sapphire Toxic edition 5870 sample, allowing us to pit these two single-GPU flagships against each other to see which card comes out on top.

It used to be that PC video games such as Crysis and Far Cry 2 were as demanding as you could get, but that was all back before DirectX-11 brought tessellation and to the forefront of graphics. DX11 now adds heavy particle and turbulence effects to video games, and titles such as Metro 2033 demand the most powerful graphics processing available. NVIDIA's GF100 GPU is their first graphics processor to support DirectX-11 features such as tessellation and DirectCompute, and the GeForce GTX-470 offers an excellent combination of performance and value for game like Battlefield: Bad Company 2 or BattleForge. Priced at $349, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX-470 empowers DirectX-11 video games to deliver unmatched geometric realism from 14 Streaming Multiprocessors with a total of 448 CUDA Cores and 56 Texture Units. In this article Benchmark Reviews tests 3D frame rate performance on the retail Zotac GeForce GTX-470 video card (model ZT-40201-10P), and compare t! he results against the most powerful graphics products on the market.
