The ASUS EAH5770 CuCore/2DI/1GD5/A videocard might just hit that wonderful sweet spot where price and performance balance perfectly. The card comes packing 1GB of GDDR5 RAM and with a GPU ticking away at 850MHz. In terms of performance, the Radeon HD 5770 GPU slots in just below ATI's flagship Radeon HD 5870 and 5850 chips, but above the mainstream Radeon HD 5670. The Radeon HD 5770 graphics chip is based on the ATI RV840 'Juniper' GPU, a 1.04-billion transistor die manufactured on a the 40nm process.

Last month Sapphire released the Radeon HD 5850 Toxic, which is a custom designed ATI Radeon HD 5850 that looks nothing like the reference designed board that it is derived from. The Sapphire 'Toxic' Radeon HD 5850 1GB card that we have here today is clocked at 765MHz on the core and 1125MHz on the memory. Read on to see how it performs and to see how far we can overclock it!

The XFX Radeon HD 5830 is one of many new Cypress-based DirectX 11 video cards released by ATI partners in the last few weeks, to great anticipation in the marketplace. Each of the HD5830 cards was designed by the individual AIB partners and there really are no two that are alike, except for minor variations sold side-by-side by a few companies. The high clock rate of the HD-5830 GPU, and its 2 billion plus transistor count, made this design a challenging one for many of the suppliers. The HD-583X-ZNFV graphics card from XFX uses some new power supply technology and a classic cooler design to simplify the Radeon 5xxx design a bit and cut costs, without sacrificing quality or performance. Benchmark Reviews has a retail sample in our lab; let's see how well XFX executed on their strategy.

So today one of the most discussed graphics card launches of all time takes place; join us as we take a look at the real world performance of the GTX 480 covering DirectX 9, 10, 10.1 and 11 gaming, GPU Computing (CUDA), High Definition playback, PhysX, 3DVision, gaming with 32x anti-aliasing and even 3D-DVD playback. If that’s not enough then how about internal and external temperature readings, power use then some overclocking?
