We will be running this enhanced version of the 6970 through a selection of real world tests to find out how it compares to the GTX 570 and will include maximum overclock results in each case... all on an i7 CPU running at 4.4GHz.

One thing that really sets the ASUS Direct CU II 7970 card apart is its ability to be connected directly to a supported ASUS motherboard and then control all elements of the cards voltage directly through the motherboard’s BIOS, which helps insure a much more stable and direct control set than your average VGA card. Professional overclockers, you know those crazy fools that use LN2, will be very pleased with their ability to custom control the GPU and its voltage options. GPU Tweak’s latest version has many of the previous bugs fixed and seemed to be working fine now and can be a solid tool for monitoring, changing fan speeds, adjusting voltage and core and memory speeds all from the Windows 7 environment.

Ah I am back to reviewing video cards, it has actually been a little while since I’ve taken a look at a current generation card, but over the past couple of weeks I have caught back up and today I am taking a look at an awesome card from ASUS. Many of ASUS’s non-reference cards feature their DirectCU II cooling system and so does this card, but this card also features a 12-phase VRM that has super alloy caps and chokes, ASUS’s VGA hotwire that allows you to easily check voltages on the card and this single card can drive up to six screens! The card we are taking a look at today is the 28nm ASUS HD 7970 DirectCU II 3GB! Read on as we take a look at this impressive card!

Last week we reviewed one of the finest graphics cards we have had in our labs, the Asus GTX580 Direct CU II. This modified card design overclocked to levels we thought impossible and operated at temperatures which other manufacturers have struggled to achieve.

AMD released their HD7970 on December 22nd last year and we followed up with four separate reviews focusing on single card, dual card configurations and modified cards from XFX. Today we are looking at several ASUS cards, and to make it more interesting, we have opted to build a three way Crossfire system. Just what kind of performance can you expect from three of these killer cards in a high end system?

Asus have just rewritten the Nvidia rulebook with the release of their 1 grand video card - the Asus MARS. Its basically two 285's on one board with 4GB of high performance ram. Asus sent us TWO of these limited edition boards and we put them in a watercooled system to see just how many frames they can deliver with all the modern gaming titles.

Today, we'll be looking at the ASUS ROG MARS 760 4GB Dual-GPU video card that is sold under part number MARS760-4GD5. The ASUS ROG MARS 760 is a single card that features two of NVIDIA GK104 'Kepler' GPU's, so it is basically dual GeForce GTX 760 card running in SLI. ASUS claims that their MARS 760 card can outperform the NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan and that this card is aimed at 2560x1440 gamers. This card isn't really going to work well for those 4K displays or large multi-monitor setups as there is just 2GB of frame buffer allotted to each GPU. This card has a total of 4GB of memory, but that memory is not shared between the two GPU's just like a traditional NVIDIA SLI multi-GPU setup. Read on to see how it performs when we put this card to the test across three screen resolutions.

The ASUS MARS 760 is a unique, dual-GPU graphics card that delivers the performance you expect. The build quality is very nice, you can overclock the card if you want, but the noise level with two GPUs is of course higher than with one. It's clear that the ASUS engineers did their homework, as it's a very solid card overall.
