There are various areas that a graphics card product can be aimed at, and this includes the budget segment, mid-range and high-end, but we also have to look at the offerings that give fantastic performance for a great price, no matter whether they are the best performer or a run-of-the-mill card. The 650 Ti Boost from Nvidia is aimed at that segment, by wanting to offer up 1080p rich quality with high graphical settings, and still letting the user witness admirable frame rates. In Nvidia's eyes, the 650 series of cards was planned to be the "gateway" for gamers, as it was meant to allow them to experience 1080p gaming for the first time but sadly there was something lacking and is was the raw compute power of the core.

Back in August NVIDIA released the GTX 660 Ti, which came in around the $300 price range. Performance on the card was great, but not everyone has $300 to spend on a video card. So NVIDIA released the GTX 660, which hits your wallet around $200-$250, but still offers great performance and lower power consumption. Today we are checking out one of ASUS’s GTX 660 variants, the GeForce GTX 660 DirectCU II OC Edition. This card features ASUS’s DirectCU II cooling, which ASUS says provides 20% better cooling performance than a stock cooler. This is also the Overclocked (OC) edition of the card. That means the GPU clock is set to 1020 MHz (1085 MHz boost clock) over the stock settings of 980 MHz. You also get ASUS’s DIGI+VRM power delivery design which enhances power efficiency by 15% and minimizes power noise by 30%. Are you in the market for a GTX 660? Is this the one for you? Read on to find out!

Many computer hardware enthusiast recall when NVIDIA unleashed their GeForce GTX 580 video card onto the gaming landscape back on November 2010, setting the bar so high the closest threat to the $500 price point was a combined pair of the competition's best graphics cards. Under two years later, NVIDIA returns with a 150W mid-range solution that beats their former flagship. Built upon the NVIDIA GK104 GPU, the GeForce GTX 660 Ti offers the same high-end features found on the top-end GTX 680, but with a much more affordable price tag. In this article Benchmark Reviews tests the ASUS GeForce GTX 660Ti DirectCU II TOP, model TI-DC2T-2GD5.

Today, we will be looking at the ASUS GeForce GTX 670 and GeForce GTX 680 DirectCU II TOP edition video cards. These cards have very similar ASUS centric design specs (VRM, PCB and Heatsink), so we figured we'd cover both cards at once. We will be using the just released GeForce 310.33 drivers to test the performance of these high-end graphics cards! No review is complete with comparisons, so they will be competing against the Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Vapor-X and the Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 Vapor-X!

Next in our series of video cards review is a product from ASUS. As a large tier-1 hardware manufacturer, ASUS is both a partner of AMD and nVidia for its graphics products. Today we'll be looking at one of ASUS' high end nVidia GeForce GTX 680 based products. One step below the flagship of ASUS' GTX 680 series, the GTX680-DC2O-2GD5 has most of the same ASUS exclusive features as their top dog: the DirectCU II cooler and 10 power phases coupled with the DIGI+ VRM. The only difference is a smaller factory overclock.

The graphics card world is at a certain point that we see every year, where it seems AMD and Nvidia seem to go into hibernation and no new products get released. This is where the partners of each GPU manufacturer start tweaking and generally going crazy themselves to offer something unique to the public. We've seen it from many brands as of late with specialist cards that give the market that sudden jolt back to life and more importantly get people talking and buying.

I was intrigued by this card and decided to put it head to head, not with all video cards out there, but against its reference design twin brother. I have been using a GTX 285 since its release and have been a pretty happy camper. But what extras this Asus card has to offer you want to check out!
