With a die shrink to 55nm speeds are up and temps are down. We will focus specifically on the PALiT non reference design Geforce 9800 GTX+ NE/98TX+XT352. With it's nearly silent cooler and slightly overclocked core this card should put up some good numbers. Let's get to it!

NVIDIA Continues to refine the GT200 GPU, and the latest 55nm version offers better efficiency and higher performance. In this article, Benchmark Reviews performance tests the ASUS GeForce GTX 285 against a wide range of video cards. Was hört sich besser an, als eine GTX260? Richtig, zwei GTX260. Deswegen wurden zwei GTX 260 Grafikkarten zu einem SLI Verbund in ein Core i7 920 System gesteckt und auf Performance gemessen. Verglichen wurde natürlich der Unterschied zu einer GTX260 und einer GTX280. Als Tests wurden mehrere Benchmarks und Games verwendet.
Considering how long it took XSR to get it's first high end graphics card review, it's interesting that they are now one of our most oft-reviewed pieces of hardware. Not to be the exception to the rule is our recently acquired 9800GT from XFX. The smaller brother of the more well known GTX branding, the GT saw excellent sales during the 8 series for it's high end performance, with lower end price tag. Let's see if increasing the initial number by 1 makes much of a difference.
