A couple of months ago AMD reasonably quietly launched the R7 250X, a part which unsurprisingly sits between their 250 and 260. We have looked at those products previously so today we take a quick look at the R7 250X in the form of Sapphires R7-250X Vapor-X model.

Nvidia have always said that the GTX Titan and GTX Titan Black graphics cards were never released to target the gaming audience, however that hasn’t stopped demanding enthusiast gamers buying them by the bucket load. As the GTX780 Ti is ‘only’ equipped with 3GB of GDDR5 memory the move to ‘Titan gaming’ has been the only way for a wealthy Nvidia user to double the memory count. Sapphire has just added a new graphics card to their R9 290X lineup. It is the R9 290X Vapor-X Tri-X OC graphics card. The thing that sets this card apart from their other R9 290X cards is that it features vapor-chamber technology to improve cooling even more than than their current cards and this card features a factory overclock on both the GPU and the memory. The card will have a GPU frequency of 1080 MHz (80 MHz over reference) and the memory will be running at speeds of 5.64 GHz (effective).
