We recently reviewed the Sapphire Radeon R9 290X Vapor-X Tri-X in preparation for the AMD Radeon R9 300 Series release and to be honest, we were a little underwhelmed by the card. Still a strong contender in the high end graphics market but in the shadow of the GTX970 from Nvidia, not to mention the GTX980 or GTX980 Ti. So a couple of days ago we tuned into the live broadcast and we got a sense of excitement from the event, it seems like AMD are really proud of the R9 300 Series release and the supporting product ranges they launched on that day.
This case has fantastic white styling and brilliant functionality with a completely tool-less design. It's considered a mid-tower chassis, but will house the latest full size ATX motherboards, and plenty of storage devices too.
We look at our very first Zalman based video card and see if the company has a chance in this competitive market.

Today we will be taking a look at one of Zotac’s flagship graphics card from their GeForce 400 series line, the Amp! Edition GeForce GTX 480. Originally launched in March of 2010 and available a month later for purchase, the GeForce 400 series was the first to introduce the Fermi architecture and support for OpenGL 4.0 and Direct3D 11. Although ousted as the NVIDIA GPU king by the GeForce 500 series late last year, higher end 400 series cards like the GTX 480 remain very relevant in today’s GPU market. Zotac sweetens their take on the GTX 480 by throwing in an aftermarket heatsink to combat Fermi’s known heat issues and a factory overclock for good measure.
Although we have already reviewed GeForce GTX 590, we haven't yet had a chance to test it in SLI mode. Well, that's what we'll do today. We shall also take a look at factory overclocked GTX 550 Ti and GTX 560 from the same company.
